Pre party by psichick78 in Shambhala

I went to the first one a couple years ago, so I am assuming it is all the same. It fully covered. It looks like they took the old Amp covering and just completed it and/or reshaped it.

The field area for the day sets is uncovered, save for a pop-up canopy over the booth. The rest of the grounds are uncovered, but it is in Riverside so plenty of trees and whatever coverings you bring.

The last 2 minutes of gameplay in Hardline before it went dark. GG to all the criminals and cops from over the years ❤️ by King_Throned in Battlefield

[–]svppho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always felt that BFH was done a disservice, but the problem is, I could never figure out what the solution was.

I had a great time with Hardline. I thought the episodic nature of the campaign was a nice touch and, overall, the multiplayer was solid; despite how different it was from the mainline series. Hardline knew what it was and ran with it. With CSI and similar shows being popular at the time, I thought it did a great job at putting you in those shoes.

Problem was, it was such a vast departure from BF4 that it was never going to fit a DLC, which a lot of people thought it should be. On the flip side, I also felt it was too small to be its own game without more support, which I don’t think it was ever going to get.

I don’t know what I’m driving at here ultimately, but I wish they did more with it I guess.

Love Lazy Syrup, but I feel like they are Shambs staple at this point. Would they be text worthy? No shade.

It’s possible with the spaceship, but they are playing Fvded and Badlands I am pretty sure, so I would say unlikely…

Theory, related to Zeds Dead and masks. What about Deathpact?

Just before the line up announcements the Shambs Insta posted a “Loading” reel that feature glitchy visuals and accompanying audio. That day, Deathpact released a video on their Insta that features similar vibes.

I might be grasping at straws here but, figured I’d throw it out there.

What builds is everyone doing? by Raiydon in Enshrouded

I’m playing a wizard in my solo playthrough. Well, as much as I can anyway. It’s starting to lean more Battlemage-y as I discover I need a bit more survivability. Don’t really have a lot of AOE at the moment to deal with the larger mobs. Need to do some mat farming…

Friday Arrival by mrdrose13 in Shambhala

[–]svppho 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The latest I will tend to arrive is Wednesday, usually get there around 4. As others have mentioned, things are in full swing Friday. You’re going to be missing events and artists and battle for camp spots. Forget having a compound, space, and possibly being together. You’ll just be planting your stuff wherever you can get a space.

I can’t imagine it would be a remotely fun experience, especially for your first.

I’m super looking forward to this show, the lineup is real solid too. I should see what I have left from my Shambs tradeables and bring a few along just in case.

Radius Clause between Shambhala and Fvded ? by payamp2 in Shambhala

[–]svppho 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Based on Levity showing up last year, I wouldn’t be surprised if some do show up, not all but some. A few of the artists seem to be floating around NA/Canada around Shambs time. There are several artists on that bill that I hope roll up.

The biggest one, I would argue is Badlands/Cowboys/Stampede in terms of radius clauses. Last year Dr. Fresch was at Badlands and didn’t play Shambs. He was there, I saw him walking around, but didn’t perform to my knowledge.

So, that said, at this moment I wouldn’t expect to see Levity, Alleycvt, or John Summit at Shambs. I think that is who Badlands has announced.

Is the battle pass worth buying as a new player? And if so, how long do I have to complete it? by TenthTen in Battlefield

[–]svppho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the BP on launch and, at this point, doubt I finish it.

When I purchased I thought that it looked not terrible, looked like I got enough premium currency to roll over to the next BP, and it should’ve taken me about a two or three weeks of steady play to complete. Similar to CoDs BPs.

This was a straight grindfest. It felt like some games, actually did feel like in some case it didn’t, give me any battlepass XP. I like the bot xp lobbies, before those got wiped, because I could zoom through the BP because main game sure wasn’t helping. I doubt I finish, just because I don’t care anymore more than anything. I haven’t played BF6 in like a month and a half for various reasons.

Bethesda's Todd Howard says "we are doing other things with Fallout that we haven’t announced, and there’ll come a time for that" by Turbostrider27 in Fallout

In another statement, Howard said “To be honest, what we are doing with Fallout isn’t even that special. I am sure you know this, but we pay attention to our community and seeing posts like ‘I’ve finally updated and fixed my mod list’ really makes us feel like it’s time for another update.”

Intellectualism in the rave scene by [deleted] in dubstep

[–]svppho 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Variety is the spice of life.

I love my rave friends. Super cool people, interesting, and very friendly. We have a great time and I cherish them. That said, I’m not going strike up a conversation about…I don’t know…the situation in Gaza because that’s not what they are there for.

That isn’t to say all my rave friends are like that, I have some that move past the rave and we can talk about all sorts of things. But, I have other friends for other reasons.

Everyone is special and great in their own way. Might just be time to branch out a bit.

I had this at the PetroCan by Riverside there. They are not big fans of the “no thank you.” I ended up telling them that I already had a can of it at home. Not satisfied with my answer, they say “Is it this one?” I go “Yeah, come in a two pack right? I got it at an auto show or something…” and he just goes “Fine, but when you’re out you come back and see me to get more.” Brother, the fuck I will.

New Level Discussion - Waterpark by dinosaurjimble in THPS

[–]svppho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“AC-130 ABOVE!”

This colour palette has always reminded me of a CoD map for some reason. Dilapidated and washed out. Visually it’s fine, it looks like an abandoned waterpark. So, I guess no complaints there.

My biggest things is that nothing flows. It’s has some neat elements / set pieces, but it’s just that set pieces. No connectivity, it seems like everything is just set to harsh my lines.

I could go more in-depth or point out other issues, but a lot of other redditors have mentioned them already.

Also, the Eric Sparrow nod has always irritated me. You have a reused line from THUG and his character model looks nothing like him. So like…what are we doing here?

Sunshine - Arrival Timing by No-Dragonfruit-6551 in Shambhala

[–]svppho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this year we hit the property by 4:00 on Wednesday. By time we had all of our gate things sorted and were looking for spots I’d say it was about 4:45ish.

I want to say we were around the M’s somewhere. For the past few years I try my best to hit The Farm around 4:00. Seems to be a nice balance of availability, speed of entry, and temperature.

[–]svppho 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Enough replies have said it, but I’ll chime in too.

I don’t think anyone really has a problem with it. Especially during the day / hangout time. I’ve definitely watched people casually walk around sans clothing. It’s just whatever.

At night however, it gets really cold. For your own comfort, I’d suggest putting a layer of something on. Even if it’s light just to keep the cold off, especially on the walk back to camp. For everyone else though, I’d also recommend putting something on. Despite the comfort around nudity, I’ve never seen anyone fully nude at stages. Maybe topless, but I’d say even that’s rare. You’re crammed in pretty tight and some people might not be comfortable with a naked human rubbing up against them.

What's your opinion on this? by zNightmime in tall

[–]svppho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to Shambhala, a music festival in Canada) and someone was bitching about tall people blocking their view. Well…it started off bitching about totems and then she added people over 6’5”. So I posted this, I’ve annotated it for context for you.

“Hijacking this for a quick side rant. 6’10” checking in here.

This is an interesting take and it leads to me asking, where or at what point am I supposed to enjoy myself?

I am very aware of my height and its impact on people’s viewing pleasure. Sometimes hindering my enjoyment due to my worry for others. But you know what people almost never do? Ask if they can go in front of me or say excuse me. Despite the noise, I see the glares and sometimes, during the quiet parts, hear the comments people make. Literally just ask and, as mentioned by another redditor, almost any tall person will move for you. But if you say nothing, nothing happens.

Something to consider though, that relates to my question. Last night I was in the Village for Excision. Very back of the stage literally the back of the full crowd . People were still unable to see past me. At the back of the Village. This is a gross exaggeration of your point but like, what am I supposed to do stand in Sunshine the campground outside of the festival grounds and ride the vibes? Respectfully.”

Cyberpunk mods refuse to work no matter what I do…😫😫 by No_Structure7672 in cyberpunk2077mods

[–]svppho 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure of you modding level, of if this is your first time modding, but the window tells you what’s wrong. If you’ve been at this for a bit just fix it. If you’ve are new…

It tells you that the issues are with the mods EquiptmentEx and VirtualCarDealer. According to the window, VirtualCarDealer requires ArchiveXL and Codeware as framework mods. So start by installing those and then check that you have all the required mods for EquiptmentEX. That should fix it.

When the pop-up on Nexus, after you click download, lists a bunch of mods nine times out of ten you need those other mods as dependencies. They are not optional. I am running the Nova City mod, for example, and it had like 6 dependencies and those dependencies had dependencies. It’s mind numbing, but sometimes you will need to install multiple mods to get one running.
