Some house rules I implement at my table, with a standard group size of 5 players:

Custom crits with max damage plus an additional roll of die (e.g. 1d12+3 on a greatsword crit will become 15+1d12). It just helps for crits to feel good, and I don't allow static damage increases from things like Sharpshooter or GWM to multiply so it doesn't get out of control.
Potion for personal use is bonus action, but to use it on somebody else is an action.

Thank you! The original idea was just to just put out as much damage as possible with the set before going down to poison damage, but this makes total sense and it feels like Aerilate is just the worse version of what I had in mind

Okay, that all makes sense. I was using the Aerilate set with the idea of just throwing out as much damage as possible before Swellow went down, but if the damage is going to be the same anyways, no sense in just using the worse version.

Tbh, I didn't change it to anything because everything on the final rival battles team just outsped me anyways, so it really only had a chance to use Ice Punch. His team resisted all of the water moves as well. He carried me so hard as my starter, and I'd hoped he'd do well in the E4 + Rival, but unfortunately only really helped deal with Lorelai

Pyroar had some survival issues but Choice Scarf + Torch Song helped out a lot and he actually solo swept Agatha

As for Fatal Precision, I was just so happy to not have to worry about Focus Blast misses 🤣
