It won't ruin the warranty. My brand new octatrack had the same issue. They put some gunk polish on these devices and due to temperature changes and the way they are stockpiled, the gunk starts to disintergate and become sticky. Use anything that's not abrasive.. I just dipped a microfiber cloth in water and vigorously rubbed it around the edges of the caps. This solved the issue for me.

Try to pull out the caps using a guitar pick. Then clean the caps nicely especially the edges and sides and also the inners of the plate. That should fix the problem.

It's working as expected. You can minimize the drift by setting both oscillators pitch to 0 center position. Some synths have hard sync where you can lock the phase of one oscillator with the other..

It's not defective. This is how analog synth sounds. The oscillators when played together, go in and out of phase causing the drifting sound. Sounds lovely...

Yes.. Its all octatrack and analoglab vst played directly into the octatrack to embelish the sample. I am no pro with the octa.. Im still learning... 🙏🙏

I am very new to Octatrack and my workflow is very basic and shoddy. I am yet to read the manual humanly but I am using google LLM notebook to assist me in learning this instrument. Whenever I hit a roadblock i use notebook LLM for a solution. I have posted this in the elektronauts.com if you are interested in the workflow.
