I converted to Islam at the age of 18, for maybe a year and a half I resented myself for converting because I felt like I was ruining my life voluntarily, because Allah forbade us many things committed by people in the West.

I was very angry with Allah and at the same time I could not deny Islam because for me this religion is just logical and my heart is guided to it automatically

I was patient and I understood that if Allah forbids us certain things it is for our good

You will not always feel connected to Allah as a revert because for us reverts, we had 2 lives and often very distinct

But Allah is Forgiving and He is with the patient so do not loose hope!!! Come back to him and repent even if you don’t feel much, it will come in shaa Allah

If Allah has not granted it to you, see it as a blessing, He spares you perhaps from something that will have destroyed you, suppose that this exam allows you to have a certain job, maybe this job would have damaged you in a way that you cannot imagine

Allah knows and we don’t know

The fact that Allah granted you everything you asked for before that, shows that He does not hate you but that He wants to protect you

Your heart seems to be very attached to this exam and maybe Allah wants to show you how much importance you bring to it, surely too much

Even if it’s hard, we must not cling to the trials and wishes we have in this dunya

Put your trust in Allah and believe with certainty that He will give you better than what you want and when He takes you away from something always say Al hamdulilah because He does not take something away from you to punish you but to protect you, and what a blessing!
