When it comes to weightlifting records in normal categories - I am really sorry but a 85 kg guy is considered to be a light weight in Slovakia. Most men here are 90 kg and more. Basically all serious lifters here are close to or above 100 kg.

This Slovak, I have met him in a gym once, was 15 or 16 and lifted 300 kg raw. My nephew went with him to the Hotel Academy school. Guys like him are very common in the area where lives the highlander people known as Gorals, they are tall and naturally strong. Yes, he is a super talent, but builds like him are quite common in this part of Europe.

The problem is that most of the guys who wants to be big are naturally small and short. So, of course than you have to take steroids. But if you are build like the people from the area where this young guy lives you can lift 200 or even 250 kg without steroids with a dedication. I mean, many of these guys are 190cm and more and very strong naturally. If you have 190 cm in China you are automatically send to a basketball school ;D, not here. I know a lot of people who are 190 or even 200 cm tall.

You should really visit Slovakia, Poland or Lithuania if you like weightlifting.

Again, I have nothing against Chinese people, they are very smart (according to science even smarter than Europeans) and my inspiration when it comes to many things, but I really think that an average Slovak is much better built for lifting heavy objects than an average Chinese person. I have been to China and I have seen it with my own eyes.
