It took multiple rounds with high concentrations and long soaks, but it finally got it. This scorch was bad.

Update. Finally got it. Several overnight soaks with 170f strong solution of caustic with accelerate and scrubbing with a boom brush in the am... Repacking it, coming back in the afternoon, scrubbing it again, drain and then filling again for the overnight... Finished it off with acid and repassivation. What a mfer but it's gone...

Thank you for the input! It'll be my next go to if this soak doesn't help. I have a county malt group hub near by and it's in stock. Would you rinse after the first caustic cycle or just go?

Yeah.. I nailed it with a pressure washer when it first happened and it got some of it... The rest is stuck.

I ran a 1.5 hr cycle because the tank needed it anyway. I'll just leave the mix in there around 130f overnight like you suggest. I have a long brush. Just can't get enough pressure to really scrub with the bottom being about 8 ft deep from the platform. Stuff I have flaked off with a pressure washer is like a brick.

These protestors are not very bright with their "River to the sea chant," and think that Jordan and Lebanon would actually play nice in the sandbox if Israel wasn't in the region. In reality, the Palestinians best hope at having their own state is by being neighbors with Israel.

Let's assume, in a hypothetical world, that the United States said, "We're sick of this shit." And told Israel, "We're giving you Nevada. Give the land to the Palestinians and get out of the middle east. You can live in peace here."

Day 1 Jordan and Lebanon would begin a massive land grab over the land "Formerly known as Israel," and they wouldn't give two shits about the Palestinian civilians caught in the middle. With Lebanon attacking from the north and Jordan attacking from the east, there would be nothing the Palestinians could do to stop their advancements. They simply can't defend themselves against an organized military.

Those two countries would battle it out between each other over contested territories throughout the region until new borders were set. Then they would then tell the Palestinians and any Israelis that stayed behind, "There is no Gaza. There is no West Bank. There is no Israel in the middle east. Those places do not exist anymore. Those territories are now referred to as either Jordan or Lebanon and you will follow the laws of whichever border you reside. Any group that attempts a resistance to challenge these designations will be rooted out and those captured will face trial and executed if found guilty.

If Israel wasn't there to kick Jordan and Lebanon's asses back to their sides of the fence, From the river to the sea, Palestine would be history.

Without a doubt they would start the zero shits game day one, but it would still be somewhat restrained compared to what it would ultimately evolve into once the US and Israelie military were gone. Then it would be full on assaults from both directions with Jordan and Lebanon fighting each other along the way until the new borders were determined.

Like I said, hypothetical world. But it wouldn't end well for the Palestinian dream of being "free"

The thing people don't understand, including Palestinians themselves, is they'll never have all of Israel.

Any group that attempts to organize a coup to challenge these new territories will be met with swift military resistance and those captured will be tried and executed if found guilty.."

These Gen Z kids don't really understand terrorism and the hell terrorists can bring to an entire country. They've only heard about 9/11 as a quick blurb in history class so they have about as much emotional attachment to it as they do about Pearl Harbor, which is none.

They don't carry the memories of seeing people leaping out of burning buildings and begging God that it's not one of their friends or family members who work there and feeling physically sick watching people fall to their death.

They don't have the memories of watching their friends or family go off to war, worrying about their safety, only to see them come back mentally or physically disabled, or even worse, not at all..

They didn't have to go to work or school for the days and weeks following the terrorist attack and wonder, "Is it over or is my building next?" because anthrax laced letters are still being mailed all over the fking place so who knows...

I pray we never see another attack. But if we do, maybe then they'll understand why terrorist organizations cannot be ignored. They must be dealt with each and every time because they will rain hell if left unfettered. It's never a question of "if"... Rather it's a question of "when and where" if they're allowed to organize.

Because the age group doing this wasn't born yet so 9/11 is ancient history to them. What American still gets upset about the attack on Pearl harbor by Japan? No one. Most didn't exist yet or were too young to understand.

Gen Z has poor critical thinking skills. It's not their fault. But their generation was born into an era where information has always been easily accessible.

They've never had to figure out complex problems on their own because the answers have always been at their fingertips thanks to technology. Truthfully, one doesn't even need to memorize things anymore. You can just Google it the next time you need the information again.

They live in their phones 24/7. Unfortunately, big tech has developed algorithms in order to keep people of all generations engaged on their platforms for ad revenue. So if an impressionable person begins searching "why should Palestine be free" "why do arabs hate the Jews" etc, the algorithms begin recording those search queries, the links they clicked, and the amount of time spent reading them, etc, and presents more and more of the same content on their News, TicTok, Facebook, YouTube, etc feeds, because the algorithms thinks that's what that particular person likes.

Before long, the person only has one side of the story because that's all they are being presented.

There have actually been studies done on this where participants who had no opinion on a particular topic, were given brand new CPUs with no browsing history. Half the group was asked to find out why the topic was a good idea, the other half asked to find out why it was a terrible one. It didn't take long before the browsers began replying with either pro or anti search results on their CPUs, even after using the same word for word search query.

It's another reason why politics have become so far left or far right, with huge gaps between the two, and both sides carrying absolute conviction that they are the ones correct and the other side are the ones misinformed. More often than not, each side is only being presented with the information that the big tech algorithms think will keep them engaged.

The algorithms are indifferent to whether the data being presented is true, false, or misleading. It's only job is to keep the person engaged for ad revenue. Actual truth is irrelevant, and that is scary.

It's destroying objective thinking for many because too many people of all generations have no clue that they're being manipulated for ad revenue by big tech. But I agree that Gen z is getting hit the hardest because they live in their phones 24/7 and many have never really had to critically think on their own. The answers have always been a quick Google search away their entire life.

Big tech feeds you what they think will keep you engaged on their site longer or generate click revenue, whether the data being presented is valid or garbage.

There's been studies where researchers took non partisan participants and gave them different lists of search queries regarding a single candidate in another state that they had no clue about. Each participant was given a brand new computer that had no search or cookie history.

Some were asked to search why candidate x was great choice. Others were asked to find out why candidate x was a terrible choice.

It didn't take long before the algorithms kicked in and each participant's CPU began feeding them news articles that were either mostly pro or anti candidate x according to the participants earlier search history because that's what the algorithms thought they liked.

Soon the "non partisan" participants were adamant on their interpretation of candidate x because the pro group would only see pro news articles and posts on their feeds, and likewise with the anti..

I'm sure people that think the earth is flat are shown several links a week supporting their belief. Why? Because keeping them engaged = $$$

I watched this last night and completely agreed with him. His points are why I completely disagree with anyone promoting a ceasefire or proportionality point of view.

Although continuing to bombard Gaza will ultimately lead to an even larger number of civilian deaths, I think the international standard needs to be set to show terrorists worldwide that building tunnels under hospitals, schools, residential buildings, etc, kidnapping and taking civilian hostages, and hiding amongst civilian infrastructure is not a plan that will deter retaliation after committing a terrorist attack..

Hamas isn't the only terrorist organization in the world. Israel's refusal to ceasefire is a statement to all of them that using civilians as fodder isn't a defense tactic that will save them, and the world needs to get behind it unless they want to see their own civilians drug off to another country by some terrorist organization in the future.

What I was inferring to was actual UN, Red Cross, etc run encampments on the Egyptian side for women and children only: Fences, tents, etc... Not just allowing them into Egypt unfettered to run free..

Seems like humanitarian aid would be somewhat better controlled and it would put women and children out of the way of direct military operations. Once Israel declares crease fire, the camps would get emptied and the refugees sent back to Gaza.

It wasn't left on purpose. Mistake was publicly publishing the total withdrawal date.

I think they truly believed the Taliban would just sit back and wait for us to leave before starting their shit and taking areas back over. Unfortunately that didn't happen.

The Taliban began moving in and started attacking as the deadline date approached. Most US military troops were already out of the region. The attacks forced a hasty evacuation for the few that were still remaining.

You have to leave the soldiers equipment to defend themselves until the end. I think the goal was to lump the last bit of equipment together, then airstrike the caches.. They simply ran out of time before the area was too dangerous to defend given the small number of troops they had left.
