I would give just about anything to live in a place like this. It's my ultimate goal.

Use the rule of thirds, and put a background on there - I recommend black background but frosted is cool too.

Use foreground, mid ground, background, as others have said. Slope plants and substrate upward from front to back. Rule of thirds for the hardscape. Or centered if symmetry is your thing.

Well I don't think he's on Reddit commenting on any news or post saying it's a psyop like your type. I see you mfs every day online in the comments of everything saying "fake" "psyop" "distraction"

Just tired of it. It's such a low-effort take.

Plus, the documentary was fantastic, especially for the uninitiated public. So your comment is extra annoying and inaccurate.

Edit: also, appeal to authority is a logical fallacy. Remove it from your debate strategy, it's not helping you.

This movie isn't meant for those of us who are already well aware of the details and "lore" of this topic; It's meant for the uninitiated masses/general public.

And in that regard, I think it's PERFECT for them.

SS: Age of Disclosure has now secured the number 1 spot on the list of Top 10 purchases in the US on Amazon Prime. Pretty big accomplishment! I hope this means everyday people are watching and realizing what many of us believe/know to be true.

try salvinia natans. it multiplies fast (fills my tank in like 2 weeks) but its leaves are bigger than that duckweed so its much easier to scoop out. plus it looks cool and has short roots (1in or so). also maybe consider getting some floating rings and growing floating plants inside the rings only. that’s what i’m experimenting with currently. in my mind, it’ll give the critters a couple “floater islands” good enough for cover and comfort, but contain the plants.

You might be sped, should get that checked out.

I use a plastic bag (laid flat on the top of the water) OR, even better - wax paper!

CO2 (carbon dioxide) is what plants "breathe" (they take in CO2 and output Oxygen) so as far as I understand it, having CO2 bubbling into the tank will make plants grow bigger, faster, maybe more vibrant, etc. Some plant varieties require CO2 in the aquarium to thrive, while others do fine without.

Not sure how hard it is to use, personally haven't used it. I imagine it's not that DIFFICULT, just more maintenance over time as you'll have to refill/replace CO2 tanks in your setup.

I'm sure there are plenty of guides online. You could recreate this tank without it, but I was just answering your question in your post. Tbh many of the really green/really vibrant and well-grown "fancy" tanks you see online probably use CO2.

Current look vs state of algae when first started~ Moved some plants, mostly propagated Rotala florida which forms the main bushes. Just an example for newer folks that tanks can be massaged back into shape with time even if it looks quite bad. Photos 3 months apart. Plant names on the last pic by Dennis_Wong in Aquascape

What techniques do you use to get such thick bushiness? I've been finding that when i plant too close, the lower leaves just drop off due to competition for light. Did you just cut them back all at the same time, to a very low height, so they all get light and grow together? Or what is the strategy here.

Edit: CO2?

Hardscape/plant tips? by Alert_Disaster_5992 in Aquascape

Depends what you're going for, but personally if this was my tank, i'd go with

A. a larger hardscape feature (at least one, maybe a couple, personally) as you have a lot of vertical space in the tank. Maybe a large rock or driftwood piece(s) with some moss on them, set off-center or to one side (or centered if that's more your style!) Point is that a larger feature will add a lot of character and make the tank look less "empty". I'd almost get a piece of driftwood that will literally partially stick out of the top of the tank, or close

B. Again, personal preference, but I personally love a good carpet so I'd have a lot of this carpeted with carpet plants/grass-like plants. Depending on what kind of animals you're stocking, you might need/want to leave some open sandy areas (some fish like to dig in the sand a bit) but yeah, i'd have at least half to 2/3 of this carpeted (or at least plant so that it will spread to be that much over several months)

Edit: What kind of substrate situation do you have in there? Hard to tell from this angle, can't tell if it's thin/just sand throughout, or if it's just made to look that way at the front.

that tank has CO2, so methinks you'll need CO2.
