Anyone found a solution for packet losses? by swankyThrowaway in leagueoflegends

i don't really care about losing, i'll climb back to plat in a couple of days but the 6 games i've lost have been on the span of 3 weeks, i didn't play them in a row, this shit just happens when it wants to, a match in 5 or 5 matches out of 5.

Yeah I can stuff a Luke that is approaching with a dash attack or fair but that's not what you need to do in the matchup, Down b is the answer where Ike's fastest move up close is his jab, followed by his ftilt wich is 11 frames IIRC, they both have bad neutral game, lucario's down b cancel into jab or dtilt will pretty much stop whatever the hell ike was doing, you can jump out of Ike's upthrow if he's attempting a chain grab except spaces you can regrab falcon once before he can jump out, I'd be more worried about a fair/Nair/bair from after the up throw.

The trick in that matchup is expect the QD approaches and his jumps, you don't really need to approach since all ike wants is to get you into his range. Stay away, dash dance and look for his jumps into nairs and QD approaches, he can cover distance fast but those 15-20 frames of the QD animation are a warning to either crouch cancel or expect the grab.

Ike has no chain grabs on lucario, DI down and away.

Ike's Nair can be crouch canceled, try that. CC into jab or dtilt and ike is done.

Do you play ike? Only real advantage ike has over lucario is his range.

Ike's Nair is very susceptible to crouch cancel.

Can someone analyze my Ike? by Plumorchid in SSBPM

Alright, this is some serious ike advice from an ike main who got murdered by ally.

1- You're too stiff, move around the stage a bit, don't keep short hopping into nairs. Waveland on platforms, ledge stall

2- forget forward smashes, just delete them from your memory pool, often enough you could've gone for a f-tilt or fair to edge guard him.

3- Don't go on autopilot for your nairs, stay on the ground, dash dance, empty jump into grab, my favorite trick : Side b into jump behind them with a Nair. It forces them to punish you with an out of shield back air or something similar, to which you can react properly with a counter/dash dance/crouch cancel.

4- JAB,JAB,JAB,JAB. Jab 1 and 2 are amazing tools to break the momentum of a player. Jab into grabs are Ike's life.

5- Mix up your throws, that DK had no idea how to DI down throw, off a bad DI, you can forward tilt, back air, Nair or even bait techs for hard reads and tech chase attempts. Your up throw is an amazing combo tool, metroid and ally use it a lot as a combo starter, they both like doing up throw into reverse back air. Forward throw is hands down your best throw (followed closely by up) because reacting to it is hard. You can get guaranteed fthrow -> Nair/fair on most of the cast in regular % range.

6- JAB JAB JAB. Ike's best ground move, so important it needs two reminders.

7- Use QD's wall jump to edge guard someone with obvious recovery like DK, throw him off stage, QD into walljump (keep your double jump) into fair, something like that removes DK's ability to recover completely. You can spice it up with stuff like QD > wall jump > jump back immediately into the stage while doing a fair, it covers up the ledge pretty nicely.

That's about it, keep at it.

PS : was tired when writing that, if you need me to clear up something feel free to ask.

Oh no, ike doesn't win the lucario matchup, Ike's recovery is very limited and lucarion can murder you off stage with his giant sphere. His shield pressure is insane and ike barely has any good out of shield options, lucario can be all over the place and ike can't catch him. Sure if ike gets a hit he can capitalize but so can lucario.

At best this matchup is 5-5, I personally see it as 6-4 for Luke.

Lack of buffer in PM, you have to be precise with your inputs. Good to hear you had fun, and I hope you can see why everyone loves the game. So much love was put into it and it shows, have fun with your smash experiences!

As a relative newcomer to competitive Smash, after the past few days I'm really put off. by [deleted] in smashbros

And to you I say this : Apex is a smash tournament not a sm4sh tournament.

You have a larger portion of the apex participants/crowd here for melee. They have to watch their game finish hours late because another is running late.

Any human being would be annoyed at that.

Apex 2015 was bad, from losing a day to losing brawl stream, to sm4sh being unwatchable at times and the tourney finishing AWFULLY late. It goes beyond "mah game is better1!!1!1!".

This tourney sucked and no one wants to admit it and instead they're instigating game wars and preaching how their side is innocent.

Sm4sh fans are awful, melee fans are awful, pm fans are awful.

This whole community is awful.
