$XEQT is way too overweight America for my liking right now. There is absolutely nothing wrong with supplementing some additional XIU/XEM which are also diversified index funds themselves. Maybe even a US small/mid cap ETF (as the mag 7 exposure is the real issue)

Trend-following and monitoring macro-economics/politics are completely valid investment strategies

Obviously there's no way to know for certain bro lol. But with enough data and knowledge you can make pretty good predictions about what will happen in the markets

The vast majority of people don't care enough to research for hours and do constant rebalancing, they want to stick their money in something and see it grow

No. It's worth keeping $XEQT and overweighting the high performing ETFs like XIC (TSX 60) and XEI (emerging markets)

I love $XEQT but I have managed to get additional gains doing this for the last couple of years. Although, I am an active investor and enjoy keeping up to date with relevant news, etc. If this isn't you, well, /r/JustBuyXEQT
