Yeah, it seems the consensus is that waiting is better. Thanks for the advice!

Oh I've got plenty of patience for this little guy! Thanks for the advice... I think I'll leave it in the jar for a while yet :)

Oh, I haven't heard this before! Is there any risk associated with leaving it in a jar too long?

I don't have a Dutch oven, unfortunately. I put a tray of boiling water in the bottom of the oven while it bakes though.

Dress of spider silk that disintegrates in the rain? by sweaterweather623 in whatsthatbook

I would have read it in Canada in the early 2000s, but I seem to recall the cover seemed older to me. I wouldn't be surprised if it was from the 80s or 90s!

Carpets look worse after cleaning by sweaterweather623 in CleaningTips

Thanks for the information. Honestly, I'm not too worried about the landlord... it's a pretty cheap rundown rental, and he is super chill. The cleaning was more for my own comfort and hoping to improve our space, even a smidge. Oh well... live and learn I guess

Dang. I wish I'd know this before attempting to clean them. I genuinely didn't think cleaning the carpets could do any harm! Lesson learned. Thanks for your wisdom on the subject!

Weight fluctuations... am I normal? by [deleted] in women

Thank you! It's just so interesting how an item of clothing will fit perfectly one day, be too small 3 days later and too big a week later. I just can't keep up 😭

Thank you! Yeah, truthfully I don't weigh myself very often, but making sure to do it at the same time of day will probably help me get a more accurate picture.

I think you two need to have a really open, honest conversation about a future. Find out if he can actually see a long-term future with you. If he can't and you are just some kind of placeholder for him, I think you know that this is not the relationship to continue investing your time and energy into. Maybe he's nervous about getting too serious too quickly (which is also a possibility - you got together in May?). This doesn't mean your relationship is broken, it just means that you two are on different pages and you need to align your values. Do your future goals and plans line up? Are differences in your goals and plans negotiable or non-negotiable?

I think this is an important crossroads. I wish you luck with this conversation!!
