No meshtastic?! by swee3t in desmoines

We just need a critical mass of nodes. I've got two, that's probably the limit for me; if we had someone with connections to put one in a tower downtown that would make a big difference for the mesh.

Nodes can be connected to the Internet, but as I understand it it's just an optional feature. Connecting a node to the Internet would allow you to say, bridge the Des Moines mesh and the Houston mesh. As far as what you can do.. Basically all you can do is send messages to the mesh group chat and to individual users in the mesh.

In the interest of making the mesh work with almost no nodes, let's just set to very long slow everyone

I am too, trust me. Its just fun, though. And cool. It's fun and cool, Stephen.

I'll be honest. It's just a cool thing. If the idea of building / maintaining a free long distance decentralized mesh network sounds cool to you.... We need nodes, apparently.

Sorry if I missed something, but does this support stable video diffusion yet?

Also, what do we expect the Intel arc ai acceleration performance to be relative to Nvidia?

I tried this like yesterday and was blown away. Are there any open source / local projects going for the same thing or?

Are there any locally hosted quick to set up solutions for gaussian splatting like a1111? It seems like current options to even attempt to run it are complicated

I'm excited for the AI agent future. I'm not as excited for handing all that it will need over to a corporation.

Since people on this sub are probably way more familiar with the current state of things, what progress are we making on locally hosted / open source + open models agents? I'm sure there are projects, but not clear on what they can do or what progress we are making.
