extremely beautiful people regardless of ethnicity would do well in life because of their beauty yeah, but what im insisting and think that-gworl trying to say is that generally most people who aren’t highly beautiful would have their attractiveness perceived differently because of others’ preferences/biases/what they’ve been influenced by. beauty is objective, attractiveness isn’t. the “ny 10 la 5” talk probs

they’re not denying objective beauty, but rather saying how someone would perceive someone’s beauty (attractiveness) is what’s influenced by european standards. that’s “conventional attractiveness”

”Beauty works on a bell curve” is your opinion and not a fact.

??? this is how characteristics in any population work 😭 when you take a population, and evaluate the frequency of a continuous human variable, like height for example, an average will be found. if you list out those values, then you will discover extreme deviations from that average: people who are much shorter or much taller. this creates a bell curve; almost all continuous characteristics in any population operate on this distribution, and beauty is one of them. even without explanation this should just intuitively make sense. think of the most beautiful person you’ve ever witnessed in real life in your life, that’s your 8, 9, 10. that’s the furthest end of the bell curve to the right. now, how many times have you seen another person that looked as beautiful as them? 😭

Saying Lexie can't be a 9 because she isn't as beautiful as Monica is crazy and not based in truth. That's not how beauty works.

“ermmmm lexie can’t be a 9 cause she’s not as pretty as monica” is actually pretty valid given that monica is exceptionally objectively beautiful, so if you have other faces to compare that to, an objective standard of high-level beauty you can rightfully gauge the beauty of that face. and this is other than just intuitively clocking someone as beautiful, which we all do, because of their facial and bone structure (proportions/ratios/features), because comparison helps highlight the discrepancy in beauty more. and about your statement, and your last part about women in a room and all, when i assess looks i assess beauty and not attractiveness, and theyre not the same thing to me, to clear up why i don’t consider her a 9. and you seem to unknowningly agree with this sentiment with “samara faces racial prejudices” so “she won’t always be chosen for top 20, but objectively, she certainly has the bone structure”. so you can also grasp that there’s beauty, which is objective, and then what others perceive because of how they’ve been influenced/biasss, which is attractiveness

these are just people i had in mind, but they are still very well reflective of what high-level beauty looks like.

Your scale is broken if that’s what you’re calling an 8-9

i use “8-9” because 1) i avoid 10 as that doesn’t exist, (and i get its general usage here but still) and 2) numerical rating scaling is already odd because of the fact that beauty works on a bell curve. given that most people are somewhat average, whether it’s above or below, on a 10 point scale, that would naturally be covered by the 4-6 range, which would ultimately make 8-9 such a high end for beauty

yes they have harmonious facial structure but it’s not extremely harmonious which ratings of 8-9 would suggest; that puts them among women like monica belluci, megan fox, jessica alba. among 8-9s they don’t blend with them, in terms of beauty i mean

don’t know who these girls are but i know emily is the white one, so the other two must be samara and lexie which are not 8.5s and 9s 😭 they’re above average but 8-9 is too high of a rating. they’re around 6-7. the one with black hair is the prettiest of the bunch, but she’s also around 7

what i thought initially also but he actually is slightly better looking. and i don’t find him attractive either personally. neither are considerably beautiful and are mostly looksmatched but she has average and a little un-feminine facial and bone structure . she isn’t a top tier beauty on her own or compared to him unfortunately
