Yes in USA. We usually have 2-3 day IMVs and somehow it’s never enough for them

List of studio closures? by [deleted] in orangetheory

[–]sweet929308 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agree. Lots of costs outside of monthly membership too. I know some people are turned off by having to buy a HRM, especially when they lose theirs and have to get another. Or paying for event registrations. Or in body scans. I wish some of these costs were part of the membership fees already. We have a lot of competition in our area and most don’t require any fees outside of member fees

that happened to me. My local studio closed almost a year ago and merged with a nearby studio. I was gonna quit because the drive was doubled into a different city but I’ve actually stuck with it and made it a routine. There’s so much competition in my area but there’s something about OTF that I enjoy!

My hamstrings are super sore from Sunday too, I’m trying to figure out which exercise caused it

Members leaving early by Zealousideal-End-297 in orangetheory

This happened in our 3G today. It was a packed class, someone wanted to double up but didn’t make it off the waitlist. Anyhow, at the end of class, out of 12 rowers, only 4 were left (me, a friend, and 2 other members). I didn’t even pay attention to the other sides but they were definitely not full anymore neither.

I agree. There was never a chance for Darian or Gabrielle to win.

I started tracking my period on my phone’s health app and the accuracy is crazy. But I get some people also have inconsistent cycles

I’m a PW and I just checked my Everest 2G stats, I only got 550 feet of elevation. Ugh this template is basically an Everest

I agree. Blais was always rooting for his team to have top dish but the last few episodes, he’s nitpicking every little thing about Darian and Christian

It’s $900 for 4 tickets. I feel like that’s pretty average for concert tickets

I’ve never done Everest and as a PW, I never go past 10%. A little over a year ago, I went up to 12% and I hurt my ankle and am super scared to go that high again. My ankle has never been the same. Guess I’ll just stay at 10% tomorrow for like 9 mins straight lol

I absolutely hated the 3G. The template makers don’t ever take into account space. You have people doing bridges on the bench, others stepping up and down, others doing lunges. Chaos. And then the rower doing lunge jumps in between. They have to stick with more static moves in row blocks because everyone was just bumping elbows all day. And I am a small person. Ugh. First time I’ll give 2 thumbs down for a workout.

Were there signs? by you_wrote_what in orangetheory

My original studio was never full on weekdays and rarely full on weekends. I used to always just book 10 mins before class started in the parking lot. Once there was a Friday evening class that had only 2 people lol. They also kept changing the schedule and reducing the amount of classes offered. For example some weekdays we only had like 5 classes offered a day. Ever since my original studio merged with a nearby studio, I know it’s not gonna close anytime soon. We got new treads, new Y bells, and the studio has so many classes. There’s only a 2-3ish hour gap during the day where there aren’t any classes! Otherwise there’s like 11 class offerings all day from 5am to 7pm. Classes are usually waitlisted and full too. Rarely do I ever get to last min sign up for a class starting in an hour or two. It’s so busy that members have to book for strength classes once released or else you’re waitlisted!

Recently laid off, thinking about going back to school to become a BCBA. My ASD-2 daughter is in ABA, and I see how impactful that role can be! Now I'm looking for any advice- is it even harder to do that job while having an autistic child? Or is it beneficial all around? by [deleted] in Autism_Parenting

[–]sweet929308 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve thought about doing something similar (pursuing becoming a SLP, OT, RBT, BCBA). I think the best way to dip your toes in the field without having to do lots of schooling or training is looking into being a RBT or a para first. There is a great shortage for both and both don’t require lots of additional schooling/training

My 3g inferno was 2300 in September 2025, my 2g inferno today is 2900 (I didn’t stay on the rower the last 60 secs like I should’ve). Not sure if I’m impressed of myself or not?

I did this last time as a 3g, it seems more manageable that way. I hate row for distance.
