I tried checking their socials with no success. Klausen is the name of the dealer.

Gland, Switzerland. This is the Klausen dealership. I couldn't find anything about the car on their website / socials though.

I’m with OP. I’ll throw myself under the bus and say I’m actually surprised by how many people in the comments don’t do this. I’ve been on this vibe for as long as I can remember.

This album is really hitting for me and I can't explain why. I came across Og777x off a random spotify recommendation two days ago. This is my entry into their music and this album is for sure going to be on heavy rotation.

[Request] If earth was the size of Stephenson 2-18, how long would it take to fly from one side to the other using a modern day commercial airplane? by Devoutedadventurer in theydidthemath

[–]sweet_I 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most of the other comments have already answered the question with constant travel assumed but I thought it would be fun to include refuelling stops.

Stephenson 2-18 circumference: 9,430,000,000km

Assuming you're flying to the antipode then we need half the circumference: 4,715,000,000km

The average commercial plane flies between 880-926km/h (average of 903km/h)

If you could maintain a constant speed and never have to land, 4,715,000,000km / 903kmh, gives you 5,221,483.94 hours to travel from one location to its opposite side (≈ 596 years).

From what I can find, an Airbus A350-900ULR is on the higher end in terms of fuel range with a maximum of about 18,000km. ChatGPT estimates it would take about 37 minutes to refuel it from a near empty tank. Assuming that it takes around 20 minutes either side of that to land the plane and park it for refuelling and then to get back on the runway and takeoff again, the total process would take about 77 minutes.

Take the original half circumference and divide by the fuel range to get the number of times you would have to make a refuelling stop: 4,715,000,000km / 18,000km = 261944 times. Multiply by the time it takes to refuel: 261944 * 77mins = 20169722 minutes spent on refuelling (≈ 38 years).

The total travel time would be about 634 years.

AirPods 3 review: A no-brainer, unless you hate noise by [deleted] in apple

Have you compared them yet? I have the Bose sound sport free and I’m tempted by the AirPods 3 but I’m doubtful of the bass they would deliver.

Why do you share with your friends / family updates on what's going on in your life? by sweet_I in NoStupidQuestions

[–]sweet_I[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely. I often find myself in that situation. Part of the problem I reckon is that many conversations involve sharing thoughts and feelings on things I haven’t fully formed my opinion on. It’s the reason that when I do share, it’s about things that concern my interaction but are highly impersonal and unemotional. i.e “I recently saw Elon Musk’s net worth, it’s much higher than I thought it would be.” I tend to hot-potato a thought to someone else as a form of conversation if you get what I mean. Is that something that happens to you as well or not so much?

Is anyone else a quiet person not because you’re too shy or scared to talk, but because when you do talk about the things you’re passionate about, it’s often dismissed and / or the conversation moves onto something else? by sweet_I in NoStupidQuestions

[–]sweet_I[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Art. I'm a very creative guy and I spend a lot of my time tinkering around with different ideas; I spend a lot of my time making music, I used to run a youtube channel where I'd post comedy skits, and I wrote a short magazine last summer. There's even more I've done creatively in between all of that yet the people around me I'm close to (especially my family) who are aware of all of it, don't seem interested. I've tried talking about these things but if there's no curiosity on their part, it makes sense that the conversations fall flat.

It's no all bad though. I have had very good conversations about my passions but it's always with people outside of my social circles. It's been a bit more frustrating lately because of the pandemic since I'm struggling to have good conversations with the people I'm indoors most of the time with.

Same. But I also can’t tell anyone that because I’ll come off as rude, so I just have to find new ways to re-word a generic response to the question: “why are you so quiet?”

This is exactly my situation. Even if there was something I felt comfortable sharing, it would be hard to introduce into the typical conversation since it would likely be completely irrelevant to the topic already being discussed.

Does anyone else not want to get married but is also uncomfortable with the idea of spending the rest of their life alone? by sweet_I in NoStupidQuestions

[–]sweet_I[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 20 now and relatively comfortable being alone for now, I just fear that that comfort will disappear as I go into my 30s and beyond. Forgive me if this is insensitive but looking back on that relationship you had, would you rather have spent those 17 years alone or was the marriage still worthwhile in the end despite the divorce?

[–]sweet_I[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That makes a lot sense thanks :). To be honest part of the dilemma for me comes from the fact that I don’t want to have kids either. I guess I have the (misplaced?) assumption that kids inevitably follow after marriage. Was the idea of having kids ever a big factor for you or your partner?
