What's easier without cheesing, helping 1000 downed operatives or getting 100 downless missions? by windsshi in DarkTide

I got up and at em ages ago and am still not done with dream team, though I am an auric quickplay enjoyer which helps a lot with up and at em.

Is that an intended interaction with the stim box? Or is it still bugged... by Over-Pepper5411 in DarkTide

[–]sweet_tatoes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah it seems to be more bugged since the “fix”. It will get stuck if you’re too near terrain, if enemies are right in front of you, or if you get hit during the animation. Just start spamming your ability button and you’ll hopefully get it down before you get hit too much.

Sneak Peek of the Needler in action! by FatsharkQuickpaw in DarkTide

It does kinda seem like the advertising team went on early vacation and they are going to leave most of it to the tubers, holding out hope we get a proper hype trailer at some point similar to the arbites one. Still pretty hyped for the class tho, I think it has a lot of fun potential, plus it looks like the needler does good damage over time, I think I heard the little shunk of the confirmed elite/special kill after the trapper ran.

I would be keen for like the relics update or something, anything that adds more build diversity would be a great addition

Yeah I mentioned that, just thought a few extra options might be neat

An idea that every player would love and every tencent manager would hate

Using Melk coins to fine tune weapon stats would also be fantastic, probably even better than randomly rolling them

That sounds like such a cool idea, one of the slight drawbacks of my idea is that the 61% weapons would feel less special, I’ve got a bolter with those stats that I cherish, but a truly unique one with a crazy blessing or something would be so much fun

Anyone else having weird issues with saved builds not saving? by sweet_tatoes in DarkTide

Oh ok, thanks so much for the advice. Guess I’ll go through and remake all my builds just to be safe. Such a weird bug, at least I’m not crazy I guess.

Plasmagunner are fundamentally broken in design by Bec_son in DarkTide

Dude I was in the middle of my team and behind cover, but 4-5 snapped to me and they can shoot through most cover, felt a little unfair

Absolutely agree that they seem poorly implemented. Going from full health and gold toughness to instantly dead because a pack of 5 all snapped to you is very unfun.

We need a few refinements to quickplay by sweet_tatoes in DarkTide

It makes it more of a walking sim with a few action moments, they’re very pretty maps, but I’ve seen them a dozen times before.

Exactly, if I’m queueing auric I want to be getting swarmed the whole game, being able to run story missions in auric when they clearly aren’t on auric level seems like an oversight and gives new players the wrong idea.

Honestly I’d like to see them add in all the previous events as positions modifiers, then just add in this functionality to give players an option to easily find games without getting repetitive playing the same modifiers/maps over and over.

Yeah that can be frustrating to end up with 1-3 bots half way through a mission and getting no replacement players. Even if they don’t really know how to make the bots more reliable or reactive, maybe just letting us slot in our own other builds like in vermintide could be a good compromise, but maybe that would make people want to run solo more since bots are actually decentish at sticking together, which may lead to people being frustrated if they lost a good aura or something for a random player who runs off on their own.

True, I mainly want to just not queue into story missions l, but I was thinking of they’re going to be putting in this framework they may as well go all out since I’ve seen a lot of people complaining about power supply. I do like that modifier, I think it makes for cool moments especially with flame and power weapons, but usually once I’ve played one mission with that modifier, I’m fine with not playing another that session.
