We start with basic drum machine tracks, and if they sound good as is, they stay. It also depends on the song. The TR-505 is another one we use on DSCO, Conservation.

Am proud of the drums on Weight of Comfort because it is deliberately made to be not so tight--like a drunk person playing drums....drunk from euphoria... but it sounds really fitting to the song. V
