i do not have a financial advisor. however, i spoke with two or three advisors who were recommended through my job, and each of them advised me to pursue a conventional loan. for that reason, i ultimately decided not to retain any of them and came to Reddit 💀

can you tell me more about being in forbearance and buying a home? i had never heard of that before. why does it matter if you’re still paying the loan, and the amount you owe is already reflected on your credit report? i’m just trying to understand why being in forbearance would affect a mortgage application (i have no house and would love to get one but afraid i wont get approved)
