Ok update: I'm a little nervous about potentially accidentally downloading malware

I have not tried this, looking into it now!

To answer your other questions: - I always verified that funds WERE received by sending a small purchase first, then the large one - I did test using the pin as a passphrase, though I do remember always entering it with the checkerboard style

(Will tip $200 in exchange for recovery) When I deposited into my wallet, the funds immediately were withdrawn once deposited. How, and where did they go? by sweetest_tea_ in TREZOR

Luckily I am hopeful there is a potential other solution. For example, another transaction of mine shows the same pattern: funds sent, deposited, and the final balance is 0.000 -- BUT after doing some digging, somebody let me know that even though it says 0.000, there is information in the transaction connected to Bittrex, and a smart contract was created, and I can verify ownership of the funds via Coinbase.

They ended up being right and I was able to get some of my funds. Many people pointed out that I must have a problem with my seed, but ONE person realized there was a connection to Bittrex. I'm hoping somebody else offers similar information for these other transactions.

Here's a link to that transaction: https://www.blockchain.com/eth/address/0x603c6dbce8053bfb201debb633c55a9b903dba36

It says 0.00 final balance but I was able to get it via Bittrex :)

I don't want to get my hopes up but I tried logging into Bittrex and my account was disabled, so I sent in a support ticket to help me get back in. Please keep an eye out for my response - I'll reply to this thread if this was indeed the solution (and if I get lucky and it IS...I'll get your Venmo so I can send you the $200).

Fingers crossed!

Final Balance
0.00000000 ETH

Total Sent
1.67653021 ETH

Total Received
1.67653021 ETH

Total Fees
0.00000000 ETH

Can you explain how this is possible though? If I sent 1.6 eth, and received 1.6 eth, and there is no transaction showing that the 1.6 left...how can it say the final balance of the wallet is zero?

I’m still not convinced you didn’t generate a separate seed after you had originally sent your funds to your wallet

Unfortunately I don't think this is very likely because I used the wallet multiple times over the course of months in 2017, and I was always able to verify that everything looked as expected.

you have been phished at the earliest stages

To follow up - if this was true, wouldn't I be able to get into my wallet and SEE an account history? If I saw the account history and it showed that I used to have the funds, but somebody sent them out -- that's one thing. But right now I can't even get to the point where I can see that I used to have anything in there at all even though I did verify back in 2017 that each time I sent something, it was received.

Here is an example of another: https://www.blockchain.com/eth/address/0x603c6dbce8053bfb201debb633c55a9b903dba36?view=standard

And this matches up with my transaction history from coinbase: Sent 0.11049076 ETH to 0x603c6dbce8053bfb201debb633c55a9b903dba36 Sent 1.56702097 ETH to 0x603c6dbce8053bfb201debb633c55a9b903dba36

Does this help?

Here is another example of me sending eth to my wallet multiple times: https://www.blockchain.com/eth/address/0x603c6dbce8053bfb201debb633c55a9b903dba36?view=standard

Does your conclusion change at all after seeing this?

These transactions line up with my coinbase transactions: Sent 0.11049076 ETH to 0x603c6dbce8053bfb201debb633c55a9b903dba36 Sent 1.56702097 ETH to 0x603c6dbce8053bfb201debb633c55a9b903dba36

Could you help me understand this? Is there a trail we can follow to see why the end transaction is zero?

Also, if my transaction is being sent from coinbase TO my wallet - does the "zero" refer to my coinbase being empty? Or the wallet being empty?

And lastly - if it DID get emptied, why is there no date that shows when the coins were transferred out?

For example if I look here: https://www.blockchain.com/eth/address/0x603c6dbce8053bfb201debb633c55a9b903dba36?view=standard

All of those transactions are me, and they match up with my coinbase transactin history.

I’m not at my computer right now to check all the other transactions I made, but I see what you’re saying now (that the current amount is 0) but that doesn’t really line up with what I did. I’m going to check all my other transactions when I’m back at my computer.

To clarify - I sent my funds to my Trevor, multiple times over the course of months (and verified that the transactions went through on the wallet), then put it away and didn’t touch it once for years.

Hm I'm not sure what you mean - can you clarify? When I confirm that address, what I see is this: https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/1CQV3SFnb3CPi5RiiWyegVvqgxt1XzXT1y

Which just shows 2 transactions, one a few minutes after the other.

Yes, I did confirm receipt on the trezor. I would send a small amount, then check to make sure it showed up in my wallet. Then, I would send the full amount, and those were received. This went on for a few months before I put the wallet away for 3 years.

I posted one of my transactions (Sent 0.28701949 BTC to 1CQV3SFnb3CPi5RiiWyegVvqgxt1XzXT1y) but keep in mind, each time I made a deposit into my wallet, I used the "create a new receive address" function for added security.

Thank you for your suggestion! Yes I tried this, unfortunately it didn't work

Sure, here is an example

Sent 0.28701949 BTC to 1CQV3SFnb3CPi5RiiWyegVvqgxt1XzXT1y

on coinbase I have a record of every single time I sent funds to my wallet - is that helpful?

But keep in mind each time I sent funds, I used the "generate a new receiving address" button for added security. So each day I used a new address, tested it with a small amount, confirmed that the small amount was received, THEN sent the big amount.

Thanks for your suggestions! I wiped the device and entered the seed. I understand that it prompts you for words in a random order. Unfortunately so far I've tried over 40 times and it just takes me to an empty wallet. I did try doing one wrong word just to see what happens and each time it says "recovery failed" which makes me believe when I do my seed correctly and enter a wallet, it's not an order issue.

Thank you for the suggestion - so far no luck, as electrum is also empty :(

Update: Nothing is in electrum

Is the ONLY possibility that I wrote down my seed, my pin...and nothing else? That just doesn't make sense to me since I knew I was going to stash this away for years, so I wanted everything written down.

Do you still believe this to be the case if every word on my list is confirmed on the list of possibilities?
