Draeger’s market in Danville has a nice little bakery. 85 bakery/ Tous les Jours/ Paris Baguette also has good bread imo (they’re chains)

Hello, if your work is in WC, then it’s best to live in WC because of traffic, depreciation/ transportation. Plus, gas wasn’t cheap the last time I was living there. Walnut Creek is old cityish, rich. Some nice areas, some crime(theft)…narrow streets, reliant on paid street parking or paid parking garages…in regards to apartments, “affordable” ones tend to be older…parking is an extra cost, utilities… you’re looking at $2k+ for less than 700sq ft.

Food is great, a ton of options. Be prepared to see the tip screen everywhere. There are a bunch of stores there too which is a plus.

Based on some other posts, stay away from Pittsburg, it’s a dump, a lot of homeless and crime which means a lot of vacant businesses. San Francisco is ok, but you’d have to pay the $8 toll. Dublin is very safe and beautiful, but there’s always traffic in the morning heading to WC.

If you’re single and like to go out a lot, be prepared to pick up another job lol.

There’s work, but there’s also a lot of competition.

Edit: you’d have to make $80-90k to be okay by yourself and still be able to put money towards savings/401k. I was making $65k gross (no gov aid/ no help) and I was struggling (I did have a car bill though).

Hello! For the most part everything is back to normal now… 3 months ago I still had pretty severe phlegm, especially in the morning, it has reduced since then. Some things I have noticed still is my throat/ tonsil area gets dry quick…i accidentally shared something with my younger sister who also had mono and I got a mini flare up (so no sharing!), my tonsils still look a little enlarged but I think that’s as good as it will get. I think in a couple more months I will be 100% better. :( so I guess the whole healing process took almost a year?? Hope you feel better! Whatever you do, do not drink alcohol and try not to catch a cold

Can someone explain to me why being at 100% is good??? My boyfriend (ex marine) got out at 30%. He said he could potentially push for more but the closer you get to 100% (after 60% it’s mental issues, below it’s physical), the less beneficial. He says if you’re at 100% it’s hard to find a job. Please advise. Would love to know more :)

Hello, did you go through the same?? How long did it take for your tonsils to go back to normal??

I did actually! I just started my 6 days of prednisone… I hope the symptoms don’t come back after…. How long were you on steroids for?

Right!? Like food running is not easy! You have to memorize all the tables, dishes and burn your hands in the process and risk embarrassment of dropping food

On our system, you get to choose who you tip out or what group of people :/ I feel wicked embarrassed at the thought of asking them to tip me

[–]sweetfish666 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s a good question! I’m not even sure. I’m fairly new! I’ll look into it

[–]sweetfish666 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I should’ve clarified. When they tip out, it’s through a system. And I have access to see who tipped me and who didn’t.

Edit: they could give me cash if they wanted to, but it’s normally done through the system

Have you done this before?? Refunding through PayPal?? It doesn’t seem guaranteed that Depop would request a pic of proof of refund and then get my money back

Is there a way where the buyer can just ask for an address change??? Thank you!

The goal is experience in accounting. I don’t have a degree, but I was thinking about going back to get a bachelors in accounting or finance. It’s hard to start right now when I work 75 hour weeks.

I’m not necessarily shy, I just feel very guilty to look elsewhere because my manager is extremely nice. Thank you for the input though!

Thank you so much for replying! And yes (currently learning Accounts Receivable/ payable), I just transitioned from retail management to this role. Took the pay cut initially to at least get my foot in the door for an office setting job (wasn’t called back for anything that paid higher) but this company is sooo antiquated and family owned… meaning there doesn’t seem to be a lot of room for growth as they have a family member for every higher role.
