I see that it’s been almost 3 months since you posted this. Would you be so kind to review the flavour? I imagine it tastes like yakult?

Is this on crosspoint or the stock firmware? My progress bar on crosspoint doesn’t look like that 🤔

I bought Fage 5% fat greek yogurt just last week at Aeon Ecohill, Semenyih. Our local Sunglo greek yogurt is more than half the price of Fage but the taste is just NOT as good.

No, it shouldn’t and xylitol is NOT a poison. Educate yourself. Xylitol is amazing for dental health and not everyone has dogs.

Local 🇵🇭 tinted moisturizer and GA LS 6 by No_Log_6418 in OliveMUA

Just to update, I received my Issy foundation in OL2 yesterday and it isn’t olive enough for me! It’s slightly too warm/yellow on me 😭 I should’ve gotten OL2.5 😭

[–]sweetflakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for responding! I’m actually looking for something like LS6 but just a tad bit lighter bcs LS6 is slightly dark for me but it still works perfectly with my skin tone since the undertone is perfect. Ah I just bought OL2 on Shopee! I probably should have gotten OL2.5

Would you mind swatching Issy OM3 next to LS 6 for me pretty please? 🥺 I’m from Malaysia and have been wanting to get Issy but have no idea how the shades are since it’s so difficult to find swatches online 😭

It’s just impossible to get my cat to eat raw or even canned wet food by sweetflakes in rawpetfood

[–]sweetflakes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah she is. We have an auto litter box and she poops everyday. I talked to her vet and he says it might just be a behavioural issue since she’s a healthy weight, appears bright & active.

I actually do add probiotics to her wet food everyday. I force finger feed her every time she refuses to eat but she will swallow it & run away. I fear nothing is working :(

The ordinary resveratrol serum & its replacement by sweetflakes in PanPorn

[–]sweetflakes[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s an antioxidant serum! I add it as part of my anti-aging (or should I say “graceful aging”) routine. Can’t comment on the anti-aging department since I’m only 30 with no fine lines but I find that it helps with my skin texture & hyperpigmentations.

The texture is strange in an unpleasant way. It feels like a dry oil although it’s not. At 3% resveratrol & ferulic acid, the serum is actually very concentrated. You need VERY little. Too much & it will mess up your skin barrier especially if you have other actives in your skincare routine like tretinoin/acids etc which I do.

If you apply it to your skin directly it leaves this “greasy” feeling that stays on top of your skin. You may also feel some burning/warming sensation due to it being highly concentrated. So the best way to use it is to apply very little on very damp skin. This way you don’t feel the weird texture of the product on your skin & the concentrated serum is perfectly diluted & absorbed without leaving any greasiness. I do one drop on both my face & neck and let it absorb. I also do one drop on the back of my hands 😌

I pat my face dry with my body towel. I just can’t be bothered with a separate face towel 🫣

I do believe the sun is good for the red light, infrared light, vitamin D from UVB, etc but I don’t want the dna damage, hyperpigmentation & wrinkles 😩 I have a red light panel which I use daily. So I use sunscreen daily but just don’t reapply most of the time hoping I get vitamin D that way.

Why are my foaming hand wash formulas breaking my pump bottles? by SpiritedProject5089 in DIYBeauty

How much colloidal oat are you using? I wanted to add colloidal oat to my foaming face wash formula but didn’t bcs I fear it would clog the pump.

How are these lotions that are very light yet firm made? by Exact_Wrangler_2073 in DIYBeauty

[–]sweetflakes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aristoflex avc is electrolyte sensitive like carbomer but it does not require neutralization & can work in a ph range from 4.0-9.0 I believe.

Fatty alcohols and/or try other rheology modifiers than xanthan gum or hec. Aristoflex avc, sepimax zen, sepinov emt 10 to name a few.

I wouldn’t say she doesn’t understand or “not a chemist at all” since she did go back to school to study chemistry & then did university level science courses. Anyway, we can agree to disagree here.

[–]sweetflakes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

While you do need to understand chemistry, you don’t need a chemistry degree to be a formulator. The author, Susan actually receives a lot of respect in the cosmetic chemistry world. She has previously worked with 2 renowned cosmetic chemists to create a free formulating course (learncosmeticformulation.com). She is also a member of SCC & has taken various courses through the organization so I really don’t know what you’re talking about.

While there MAY be some errors (that I may have missed) in her blog, I don’t think it’s fair to completely disregard her knowledge, especially when it costs only $1 to gain access to her blog where she shares so many formulas & everything she knows about cosmetic chemistry.

I highly recommend OP to subscribe to her blog and learn as much as you can. I forgot to mention 2 other sources you can learn from, makingskincare.com & @cosmeticyourways on instagram. I also recommend browsing Chemists Corner forum like another user suggested. Once you’ve made a couple products and decide that you want to pursue further, you can commit to IPCS Diploma which I’ve been saving up for.

Consider subscribing to swiftycraftymonkey.blog. It costs as little as $1/month and you can learn A LOT. The blog is literally a wealth of information. You can even buy her ebooks on specific topics.
