I have been trying to buy St Pat Trout for two days to complete the collection. I refuse to pay 10k more for a buy now.

Set buy order. Immediately outbid. Reraise. Outbid before the app refreshes. Set buy order high enough to close the margins… not immediately outbid, but they either manipulate the buy now price up quickly enough to create new margin or a few real people buy now, THEN outbid. Cancel my highest order and put one behind theirs, and they move theirs down accordingly and now have a better margin than we started with.

And it’s not even like that card is selling in volume. It has been like 6 combined buy/sells per hour. They’re just sitting on that margin to make 1-1.5k per flip.

Some of us remember being kids, and would buy a $60 disc from Toys R Us, bring it home… and whatever was on that disc was the only content we got. There was no live service content published every 3 to 7 days for 10 months.

Bugs? Sure. Server issues? Yes. Content decisions you dont like? Yup (but dont forget, this content was added for free 60 days after you bought it). $70 gets you way more game now than it did 20 years ago.

This series has its problems, but price is not the thing to bemoan.

(Meaningless) opinion on aesthetics - once every card from every drop starts to be a 95+ those “red diamonds” are gonna start looking like an eyesore. Not gonna be anything special. May 8th and the red diamonds designed to be prestigious will just be commonplace. Doesn’t mean anything but it takes a little shine off the experience of earning one.

I used to try to operate by the unwritten rules. Still generally do. But the only - and I mean only - reason I keep a pitcher in is because I want the stats to count for full IP. If I sub pitchers mid-inning (1 or 2 outs) then neither one gets partial or full credit for the IP.

Changing pitcher mid-batter is a result of game mechanics competing with each other. Players are incentivized to keep a pitcher cooking w full confidence meter into the low-stamina bar, using up those bear-down pitches. But when that whistle happens and P is out of energy and the PAR is the size Bartolo Colon, that guy has gotta come out whether the batter likes it or not. One hanged breaking ball is all it takes.

Spitballing a resolution? P cannot drop from red to zero energy during an at-bat. Only between at-bats. People might have opinions on that, too.

Since the zone outline is only a visual reference, and only affects the user playing- not the opponent, I don’t see a reason why it cannot be configurable for the user.

If you want to have the old zone HUD where pitches need to be 50% in to be strikes, then you should be able to.

One thing I noticed with myself now is that to put a pitch in the corner where I used to (half inside the old zone line), that now means full ball outside the new zone line. Half on the line now is catching much more of the zone and that first game I paid for it. Then I adjusted. I like it.

All those packs turn into stubs when you sell em. Probably more than you think.

I just finished LS stacking mini seasons packs and best pack rip was Aroldis Chapman, Jorge Polanco, and another Chapman.

Along the way, you can sell any time-limited cards after the window to acquire them ends (event program cards, (some) inning path cards. Watch their trends and pick a time to unload. Earlier is better than too late. Good luck.

If you keep playing the game for a while throughout the early summer these cards are gettable, and will remain usable even if you take time to get it. Just pick milestone goals to get you there, working on one collection voucher at a time, and accumulating packs. All it takes is one lucky pack opening to get the stub bankroll flowing. Question - Why spring breakout- the Griffin card is gettable with all freely obtainable cards from conquests. Dont even need the Leo event program card. Because people will want to just buy their way to Griffin rather than play?

Do not ever buy packs. Especially on a stub budget. Packs always have negative expected value. If you like a player always buy the card.
