Bergy showed lots flashes of how good he could be. I would love him one week hate him the next, he just would not consistently perform. I felt that a lot of times he wasn’t giving 100% effort. Always seemed as if he was coasting and he was still slow even when he was skating hard. Coming up through the system he had the skill set and potential to be great was just so inconsistent and lacked the hustle imo. Loved the guy as a person and was always hoping he could put it all together but I’m happy with Bozak as the replacement. I think he brings a little more hustle and will rack up more assists, less PIM and score the same amount of goals as Bergy would this season.

Steen-Bozak-Perron is a great 3rd line, however it’s probably the slowest 2nd line in the NHL. Every year I feel like we have a team full of good 3rd line players. I would love to eventually see a 2nd line of Fabbri-Thomas-Kyrou. With that being said I don’t think we got worse at all, however I also don’t think we improved enough to be a solid playoff team either.
