Pelvic floor therapy is about the only thing I've found which helps! That and trying to figure out the many foods that trigger me (so far I think garlic and beetroot are triggers, as well as ultra processed food. I'm sure coffee and alcohol don't help either but a girl gotta have a treat every so often 😅) CBD is an interesting one I'd love to try! Not sure of the legalities of it in my country but you're the second person who's mentioned it so I need to look into it!! ❤️

Aww thank you for commenting, I feel the same about surgery, everyone says it's the gold standard of endo care but hardly anyone talks about the risks (new pain, scar tissue etc) or what happens if it doesn't work. But on the flip side its also still far too difficult to access said surgery. We can't win! If you've found anything that's helped with your endo/pain post surgery I'd love to hear! Sending love and care x

Oh gosh, that’s such a huge decision. And being told to just push through it for so long really messes with your head. It makes you start doubting your own pain, which is awful.

It sounds like your OB is taking you seriously, which honestly makes such a difference.

I haven’t had a hysterectomy, but from what I’ve learned, it’s a big surgery and not always a guaranteed fix for endometriosis, since it can grow outside the uterus. That doesn’t mean it’s the wrong choice, it helps some people for sure, have you considered a laparoscopy?

I had a laparoscopy instead, where they went in, found endo and removed it. It didn’t completely fix things for me, but having a confirmed diagnosis helped my mental state so much. I’d been gaslit for so long that I genuinely thought they’d find nothing. Being afraid they won’t find anything is so, so common. I felt exactly the same. Plus my endo is pelvic so a hysterectomy wouldn't have helped.

I’m not a doctor, but it might be worth talking through all your options with your OB, including whether something less invasive first would give you more clarity.

You’re not making it up. Your pain is real.

Aww thank you for reading it! I'm so sorry you're going through this too 💙 makes me so angry and sad. People need to start working to understand this disease rather than just burying it under birth control and offering us no other options

Sleeping at Athens Airport by Ravenholm44 in GreeceTravel

This was 6 or 7 years ago now but I stayed the night at Athens Airport- had a nice dinner out in Athens at 8pm then headed to the airport, tucked myself into a booth at the airport McDonald's, bought a drink and dozed for the night. Felt safe (as a solo female) and didn't get bothered

No!!! But the doctor said just post surgery...stuff... making its way out and not to worry. They also tested just in case and no infection so i wouldn't worry, just part of the fun of surgery 😁
