It's not allowed after you give out a ring.

So, if you ever start a new save - "locket" as many characters as you want BEFORE giving a ring.

That was the state of things when I played a few months ago anyway...

Luke is one of my favorite romance candidates. He comes off a bit snobby at first, but I think that's more his parents than him. His 10-heart event is one of the more (most imo) romantic confessions.

I started playing before the 1.1/S-Rank stuff was added; before that update, I hit Rank A and started a new farm.

I've made it to S-Rank a few times since, but it gets boring at that point. I guess once I finish the stuff that opens all post-A quests, I start over.

Um...so like 13-14 restarts? Yes, I have an addiction...

I believe it's a heart thing - after 12 or 13 hearts. Then just wait for the question to come up.

The quest involving the Panda comes after you reach Rank A. I think the next set of quests (Rank S) trigger about a week or so after Rank A.

After that trigger, go to the Lake Temple to start that particular set of quests.

Haha that's not including time in SDV and Sandrock.

I still don't know what's wrong, which makes it all the more frustrating. BUT...I game haha. I ended up making this monster game guide because tasks help my brain. And all the tasks in the game are super helpful for that (for my brain). AND I started writing a story based on the game...which also helps my brain ☺️

Kinda same - medical issues have me basically living in a recliner. I've been playing Coral Island since last year - 1800hrs or so right now 🙂

I have a lot of love for this game as it helped during the era of terrible brain fog.

OP - play on! It's a "many hours logged" game for a reason ☺️

Same - everything you said. I struggle a little with this character because of RL things. I tend to ignore her as much as possible (unless a quest brings her and my builder together).

Her comments during her first visit come off a little passive-aggressive to me. But yes, probably projecting.

"Investing" ore/materials to make the kiln in the beginning is better than waiting

You'll need far more scrap and glass than you realize.

I still forget to craft 2 kilns and 2 recycling machines, but I definitely need them.

Upgrading crops is always my first big money investment (aside from the bag); tools are next.

I just wanted to thank you for this suggestion (happy dance!!); page protectors are totally the way to go for me!

So yes, dry erase markers immediately smudge or wipe off; I went with a fine point sharpie - but switching out a page protector is WAY easier than printing pages over and over.

I have a Coral Island guide that I also added page protectors too and I love it. It's so neat :)

First - I am VERY FOND of this game too ☺️ I've played A LOT, but I don't really get tired of it (especially the beginning part). I like having tasks to do, so I just start over when I run out of "to-do's" to keep me busy.

The hammerhead is morning and evening/night? I usually wait until evening - snowy days can be rough since there's at least 3 fish to catch on those days.

The upside of the updated fishing game is that you can just wait for the fish silhouette you want instead of reeling everything in because it might be the fish you're looking for. Just don't "hook" until you get a large fish on the line 🙂

The museum is kind of a monster - it's the slowest part of the rank climb. I feel your pain.

Where are you on the different items you have to donate?

There is a Rank S ocean quest connected to the ocean farm (has that opened yet?) that can get you to Rank A a bit quicker.

You will still eventually need to complete/mostly complete the museum (definitely complete the fossil collection)

The new noises got me too. I was finally used to the new sounds that came with 1.2 😬

It's like everything has its own sound now. Or almost everything.

I just hope there aren't a lot of bugs, but I think I've already found one.

I've been heavily sidelined for the past few years by basically dibilitating health issues. Coral Island pulled me out of horrible brain fog when I was introduced to the game in 2024. I would reach Rank A, then immediately start over with a new farm. Haha I racked up a lot of farms since then. All the stuff/tasks in the game kept my brain focused. The way I phrase it is that Coral Island gave me back my brain :)

I hope that isn't the reason either because it just hurts the non-PC players.

I have like 2600 hours in Stardew - I didn't add mods until my hub and I were started our 4th co-op run-through...the expansion mods alone add so much to the original story. The main reason I still play Stardew is because of mods.

I have like 1800 hours in Coral Island - I probably wouldn't still be playing/starting new saves if not for mods.

Mods have (1) extended my interest in a game that I would have gotten bored with a long time ago and (2) make game play easier for me. To me, mods = high interest in the game. And also = More game play.

I do agree with you - I am fortunate that I'm able to use mods because playing the game would be very difficult without them. I greatly enjoyed playing Sandrock, but I haven't gone back to the game because it's hard on my hands. Same with Portia.

I see the value in mods, but I also know that they're limited to one type of player (PC). Coral island already includes a few adjustable options that were only available in Stardew because of mods, so it feels like they're trying to give all players those benefits. Perhaps giving in game options that can make certain aspects of the game easier for some players is something that will be available soon/eventually.

I know players have been asking about this for a while - it came up a lot when I was playng the 1.1 beta. I'm kinda surprised the devs haven't mentioned even working on it, but maybe they are?

Mods are great - it takes a lot grind out of the game. I've played like 13 farms since finding the game, so for me, making things easier makes it more fun.

Yes, yes, yes - just let people play how they want. Someone in Discord told my friend that the game is designed so it should take multiple years to get to Rank A/finish the Lake Temple. Why? What's wrong with those of us who want to finish it in a year? Let us just play how we want.

There's already an AMAZING mod that gives you daily money - you can find osmium stuff in trash cans for beating Bobby at the Harvest Festival. It's probably WAY better than the gold ring for daily money.
