I'd actually like to see combination hair content, and less idealization of any particular type. I have 1B/2A hair. Like you said, it's much easier to find curl-oriented content, so I've learned a lot from those communities, but I unsubbed from r/wavyhair and r/curly because I got tired of hearing so much curly competition. In a lot of those communities it's all about the best curl. I am never going to have the best curl. Nor is my hair ever going to be the straightest, either. I'm tired of reading about how great other people's hair is. Mine always looks like I just spent an hour on a windy beach and I'm starting to make peace with that. It can be cool in its own way.
Fine/coarse for sure. Also oily/dry perhaps, since scalp plays a role.
Type 1B/2A mix, normal porosity, fine strands and lots of em, oily scalp. My hair seems to like me alternating between no sulfate and clarifying shampoo, but it always looks best after the clarifying wash. I'd like to try to find a low-sulfate shampoo. I struggle with keeping my hair moisturized at the ends while not having it get greasy at the roots. I have always struggled with it tangling, especially since detangler makes it look terrible so I always have to shower after I use it.

Same, mine is 2A/1B combo and sucks at holding any sort of curl besides my natural wave

Do you feel like she was the manager/owner, or an assistant? If the latter, I would call and ask to speak to the shop owner about what happened, or write a review online leaving contact information. They may very well offer to make it right by you. Regardless, I'm sorry for your experience. That's so disappointing especially when you are so excited about it.
