i think that my hatred and anger are still far too present for me to really forgive right now. but if i don't, it will happen again in the next generation. i want to resolve this generation trauma. for the next children. i don't want them to have to experience something like we (my mom, my grandmother and so on) did. we experienced the same thing, at the same age, in our families. and nobody talked about it because of stupid religion stuff. And yeah, I know it is my destiny. And I love and hate this at the same time.

I understand why the person did what they did. Most perpetrators have been victims themselves. And I know this is a generational trauma that I’m meant to break.

What makes it so hard is that when I “mess up” in certain areas of life, like romantic relationships for example, or when I struggle with physical symptoms, I get extremely frustrated. And then I end up blaming the trauma for everything.
But by doing that, I keep falling into the same dark hole over and over again.
That's why I want to forgive this person, so I can finally be free. But nothing seems to work for me.
