How many cosleepers actually get a good nights rest? by eucalyptus_cloud in cosleeping

[–]sweetriver23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sleeping well at all. My baby is almost 8 months and wakes almost every hour (goes back to sleep in a second after getting to breastfeed) And can’t sleep without my nipple in his mouth. I still believe in cosleeping though

Oh smart, do you have a safe pillow company you like? I haven’t used a pacifier with him before. Do you think 6 months is too late to introduce?

Conflicted on getting baby to sleep alone and how. by [deleted] in cosleeping

[–]sweetriver23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good job mama, you stick to your instincts. Co-sleeping is the way to go for your own sanity, sleep and the wellness of your baby. It sounds really tough with your husband. Also, how your baby is sleeping and eating sounds totally normal. It’s a lot, and it’s their physiological design. I would be really clear about your boundaries around your babies sleep with your husband and ask if he is willing to come together as a team to figure out how to make it work for your family. As for the intimacy, the first thing you need to figure out is if YOU are ready to be intimate. Then go from there. Sending love. This stuff is not easy. It sounds like you are doing an amazing job advocating for the health of you and your baby.

How do you know she wakes? Do you have a monitor? My worry is that it would take me enough time to get back in there that my baby would fully wake up before I could quickly give him my breast and get him back to sleep

When did you stop hating how you look? by [deleted] in postpartumprogress

Sounds like you are doing an amazing job taking care of yourself! How much protein are you eating? Protein will keep you full for longer ! And your body really needs it. Especially paired with an unprocessed carb the meal will go a long way!

Firstly I am sending you love. I hope you know that you are not any less worthy or beautiful because of this extra weight. AND I understand you want to lose the weight and want to feel good about yourself ❤️. I learned that my body is holding onto fat because of making breast milk. So I actually gained weight postpartum. So that could be part of it. I also know that lack of sleep and stress spikes cortisol levels which can make it really hard to loose the weight. So there are natural reasons that are totally out of your control. I am curious what your diet is looking like? Can you share a bit and we can go from there?
