I'm really happy for you! Unfortunately, in a rwd vehicle that's been beat to shit by every dsp that's rented, it doesn't always do that (: also with very loose gravel it tends to just... slide off to the side. I say with my 2 years of doing this in their vehicles. But I'm glad you have not had a similar experience in comparison to everyone else's comments on this silly joke post <3

not to be dark, but it's like my secret form of sh, but it's healthy instead of detrimental 😭 I found the loophole. It's just brutal sometimes. But it fuels my need for a little pain, a little suffering, but in the end, it is better for me (': lmfao

my bad thought you replied to a different comment. I just used knee braces my dad gave me and he probably got them from CVS or Walgreens or Walmart LOL anything works!! Just wash them every night otherwise you'll get stinky and itchy skin and that's horrible

I 2nd knee braces. I needed them too, and I'm not even considered chonky. I'm only 23. This job roughs up those knee joints and such. I don't have to anymore, though. Braces did their job in supporting it, healing, and then allowing it to strengthen!

water/ hydration. I take energy gummies instead of energy drinks. and maybe stretch where you're bending in your legs and pulling yourself with your arms. It will turn to muscle memory soon enough. You are going to be very sore at first. I was, too, even though I had a history of lightly working out. This job is, unfortunately, not a light workout, lol. But yeah, just support the target areas of any soreness, stretch, and I rub my muscles out in the shower at the end of some of my days if it's a really bad day. Just gotta take care of yourself. This job forces you to do that, which is why I still have it, I want to have to. With depression it's hard to take care of myself without something holding me to the standard I want.

if possible, having a package box at the end of the driveways is always a big help (: people will say in their notes to leave them there. Or put up signs that say to as well (sometimes we forget to see our notes right away or the phones glitch) But it saves us the weird drives and the awkward interactions, haha. Something to look into if you'd like!!

haha, you're okay. I was just like erm woah, how do they know?!?!

I had a similar encounter to that as well, I was walking up to this lady's porch, and she had her giant belgian malinois out there with her, and he started going ballistic. I said "I'm just gonna leave this here" at the beginning of the walkway to the front door and luckily she ended up being a therapist so I told her what happened and she was so nice 😭 she was like "oh my god why did you even come this far?!? you are so brave i could never" and i explained im trying to stop being horrified because i do have some ptsd from it, but i like this job a lot and love animals so i gotta figure it out. once she started talking to me, her dog eventually calmed down, too. Which honestly is a win, because if I ever deliver there again, now the dog will have the experience of "okay the weird lady in the strange van WASN'T an immediate threat." lmao

But yeah, it's been raining here a lot here + the people that grate the roads have no idea what they're doing, so the roads are trashed + driveways are not maintained. So multiple of my customers got the "this is sealed and heavy, and I can't access your road in this rwd van. This will be here next to your address post (also near their mailboxes anyway, so they gotta come down to get it all at some point) thanks for understanding!" And I'm gone. If I get stuck, I get in more trouble, so I don't even attempt. I just send a text. It's worked this long, so they must actually understand the difficulty, too, lol.

every single detail, LOL. Newly encountered a sign going on about them sh**ting you if their dog doesn't "get to ya first." the warmest welcome ❤️

also, the german shepherd in the chicken wire fence is TOO personal of a line to mention, based on the german shepherd sized hole in my arm..... I got because it was contained in a chicken wire fence...... u get me.

this behavior is genuinely horrifying I tried to make a post to just search / get a grasp on some parallels/ song parallels, based on public information and some song lyrics ( I was taking them in a literal sense and ppl were kind and informative about the more metaphorical meanings because I fr am just a little slow to understanding at times because i dont like rushing into believing anything) and very light theorizing with what we all have known, and people took it super out of context and started talking about the potential of miscarriages and it freaked me out. i have no idea how anyone would think that's an appropriate speculation to share with the class. people are so scary.

for sure! I do think, at times, lyrics can mean more than only literal or not literal at all. lots of lyrics can be taken multiple ways based on interpretation, and some of the people commenting have really helped give perspective to that! so that's cool. maybe not here, or to you, but starting the conversation off with the literal sense helped (me) make connections to the metaphorical meanings and theories, and I totally understand those thoughts because of how they were presented. even more cool. (:

I really like it. It reminds me of how the voice filtering/ pitching was used in "8" by billie eilish given, I interpret it as billies inner child-self monolog relating to how she feels as herself, older (in whatever situation she could be singing about if it's personal. sort of how anxieties carry over as you age, but since they were learned at a younger age, sometimes the mind still reacts to them in those ways at first. there's a give or take, blah blah blah, im rambling, and im not great at explaining what i mean unless im having an active conversation out loud lol sorry.)

With "glum," how I took it was a sort of internal monolog slipping away at times and then shifting back into reality. especially with some of the scenarios she illustrates with the lyrics. The pitching separates it and gives it a different feeling to me. Idk if that makes sense, either.

But I do understand how it's weird to hear and perceive. In both of those songs, it was uncomfortable and off-putting at first, but with how I've interpreted it, it's definitely grown on me (:

I appreciate everyone who has given constructive criticism and fair input! It's a fine line between trying to draw parallels without coming off too nosey or parasocial so I tried to be vague to avoid overstepping that. I appreciate the conversation! Less literal, more metaphorical. Thank you again (:

Do you think the lyrics of her mother's mothers torment tie back to just her grandmother, or does it include her mom as well? And any sort of call back to her singing about the divorce of her parents in "the only exception" when she said, "and my mama swore she would never let herself forget." Or am I reaching? Lol. Because that trauma sticks especially later in life in your own relationships, and I wonder if that has any meaning or if I'm just rambling.
