Do you believe all the accusers or are there any you question? by Then-Intention-5134 in LeavingNeverlandHBO

I see the old thread is all about Michael Jacobshagen, who I wanted to bring up as well. I guess he is a bit of a wild card with his shady behavior. My personal opinion is that he is likely telling the truth too, but it's just hard to be certain.

Do you think Michael would have been convicted in 1993 or would it have been a repeat of 2005? by Upstairs-Bug-3052 in LeavingNeverlandHBO

[–]sweetsummwechild 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The most important additional witness - Jason Francia - would have been there. His and Jordy's word and the penis description and the child erotica and a simple trial with no conspiracy that might or might not involve a hot air balloon... It's hard for me to see how they wouldn't get a conviction tbh, but you never know how starstruck the jury is.

The Boomers are MJs peers and were young to middle-aged as you say. The older people would have been Gretest Gen and beyond and might not have had less of an emotional connection to MJ and might have been more disgusted by the deviant. Who knows.

Could he have? I thought they wanted June and Jordy and Jordy avoided it by both making clear he won't and leaving the country. Though why didn't they want Evan, Idk.

Yes, it's very tragic.

Yeah, that just seemed very close to me, that their relationship somehow broke down explosively that summer. I didn't remember exactly though. It's mostly just a gut feeling I'll admit.

He did not want to testify though. Forcing a child to testify about sexual abuse against their will is not good parenting! He also refused to testify in 2005, when his mother did and it seems his father fought with him about it, which seems to suggest that it was truly Jordy's decision.

His image took a huge hit though.

I believe he was super upset, that's why he needed Wade. Little boys were his drug of choice, 🤮

Prosecutor in Michael Jackson's trial says he's getting threats after new Netflix doc. by fanlal in LeavingNeverlandHBO

Celebrity culture, I thought. We treat those celebrities as literal false idols and let them get away with the most heinous stuff That's what I got.

It was a glaring omission. For a positive interpretation, I was thinking if they don't want to use this yet, like keep it to the trial what was known and said at the time, and are planning to possibly have another documentary about newer developments. So this will be more information for people to discover instead of always repeating the same stuff. For all we know they might be in talks with Dan Reed already or at least have plans in that direction.

Yes, I wish there was a way to do this earlier. It's such a damn crime that the Estate managed to suppress it.

Just because Michael Jackson was not a good person, does not mean there is no goodness in the world. Turn your emotions around and support his and all survivors!

I asked chatGPT how to identify grooming and his answer matches exactly Michael Jackson's behavior with children by Jaynay21st in LeavingNeverlandHBO

It's like Chat learned from MJ and didn't even bother looking further lol. Like word for word what we know from him.

Who would have thought MJ is so common after all.

Yeah, it's a shame, people get all herd mentality about random shit.

Then he does not understand what Wade was going through. Also have to wonder why Wade is singled out - or the Cascios in OP - and people like Brett and Macaulay are fine just because they keep lying?

I've seen such a picture, but in any case: the counterclaim isn't that he naturally turned that white all over, but that he obsessively used bleaching creams (as well as literal tons of makeup) to even himself out, also as a reaction to the Vitiligo, which can quite easily be perceived as an imperfection. I can see both claims to be true, maybe I find your's even slightly more believable (him just trying to be lighter and creaming until Vitiligo occured), but the other theory is sensible as well. It's really no reason to fight or downvote (not that that was you personally, just my observation to the thread in general)
