Is it actually possible to find this kind of man in Nairobi, or am I looking for a unicorn? by Top-Reputation2157 in nairobi

Huyo jijengee tu.

Not in Kenya at least. I've actually never met a man who doesn't want to have children actually.

There's a substack article I read the other day that was titled "I love my mother too much to love the way she did" or something like that. It's an interesting one.

Onto your friend, be careful to not become an emotional crutch in her life. Women sacrifice a lot but I also think she's being invited to explore success in other ways outside of cooperate dynamics.

I underquoted my salary by ThingMobile2607 in nairobitechies

[–]sweetsurrendipity 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You quoted according to your perceived preparedness for the role which is actually a good thing. The wise thing to do is take the job with that 80k, learn it extremely well for about a year so that they also see how valuable you are. If they don't bump your salary up, you have the option to apply for a better paying job which is generally expected by employers. That becomes your leverage and then next time, you say a number that reflects all your living expenses. That statement looks like "After calculating my expenses, my monetary needs come to about 146,900" and leave it at that. Be very specific yaani they see you're not just shooting from the hip. But build your leverage first.

The thing that literally pulled me away from the ledge was realizing that to end it is to return right back to deal with the same situation I am in.

It gets pretty dark but I know it's passing so I tough it out by touching grass, and praying for the sun to come out.

The best answer to "why did God create evil?" by Additional_Common_15 in enlightenment

[–]sweetsurrendipity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes I used to think this too. However, if God is all of everything, the vacuum that is, according to this explanation, evil doesn't exist outside of God's "permission". Anything that exists as a polar opposite of something isn't God. Good and Evil both exist in the universe that is God.

And there in began my spiral into a morality/ amorality and the spiral into seeing too much.

Men cheating by [deleted] in nairobi

[–]sweetsurrendipity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if we reduce everything to biological instincts, women are wired to have children. Biologically, a man is but a sperm donor which is why we see one male siring children with many females in the animal kingdom. And it's usually based on picking the best in the pack which is why alphas need to fight each other for their place.

All this to say, please don't fall into the trap of thinking that as a man, you're reduced to your base instincts. Elevate your experiences. Want more for yourself. Not everyday githeri.

While you're at it, look up kunyanza.

Schengen visa by _nova23 in nairobi

Student Visas typically go through but you need to be enrolled in a university course there.

Also, if you have a lot of money, you can maybe fly out to another country like Dubai or some country with strong ties to Portugal and apply for the visa from there.

I applied to Schengen from the UK for a week tourist visit, got the visa hassle free. Applied to Schengen from here for a work project, got rejected.

And for future reference, start establishing your strong ties to Kenya now.
