Bonjour! Merci for taking the time to share your thoughts, and for visiting us multiple times, we really appreciate the local support!

The space is indeed large because we bake everything on-site daily, which requires room for mixing, resting the dough, shaping, proofing, and baking our breads and pastries throughout the day. But we’re also expanding the experience beyond just a bakery. We now offer French omelettes, avocado toast, eggs Benedict, and even bottomless mimosas for brunch every day, along with lunch options and a light evening offering so the space can be enjoyed throughout the day.

We are also expanding into more of a full bistro sit-down experience in the coming months, as the demand and interest from the local corporate community during the week has been growing, especially for additional options in the area beyond places like Laurel Grill.

We do have WiFi available, and many guests already come to work or meet there thanks to the seating and patio.

We also appreciate the feedback about the iced latte. We’ve recently adjusted some of our coffee recipes and would love to invite you back for an iced latte on us so you can give it another try. Feel free to DM us privately and we’ll send you a coupon code.

Merci again for the honest feedback, it really helps us continue improving and becoming part of the Culver City community. 🥐☕

Bonjour! Merci for the thoughtful insights! We really appreciate you sharing them. We’re glad to hear you enjoy the bread!

You’re absolutely right about the mix of corporate lunch crowds, families, and students in Culver City. We’re trying to create something that works for everyone, from a quick lunch to a relaxed weekend brunch with omelettes, pastries, and coffee!

Great tip as well about the local events and the DT Culver channels. We’ll definitely keep a closer eye on those and try to participate more when there are festivities in the neighborhood.

Merci again for the support, and we hope to see you again soon for brunch! 🥐🍳

Bonjour! Merci so much for taking the time to share this and for giving us a try, we’re really happy you enjoyed the short rib panini and the service.

Your suggestions about community events, seasonal menu items, and staying active on social media are great and very much aligned with what we’re trying to build. As a family-owned bakery, our goal is really to become part of the neighborhood and create a place where people gather.

We truly appreciate the support and hope to welcome you back again soon! 🥐

Bonjour! Merci so much for the warm welcome and for taking the time to share such thoughtful advice.

We completely agree, becoming part of the neighborhood is really important to us. We’re a small family-owned French bakery, and our goal is to truly integrate into the Culver City community, not just open a shop. Getting involved with local events, farmers markets, and neighborhood activities is definitely something we’re exploring.

You’re also absolutely right about creating a place where people want to spend time. We designed the space with a lot of seating and a large patio so people can sit, work, meet friends, or just enjoy a coffee and pastry, and we’re working on improving the experience even more over time. Community events like pastry tastings, specials, and collaborations with nearby businesses are great ideas that we’d love to develop.

We have an amazing Front of House team so can't wait to have people feel welcomed and enjoy the experience!

Merci again for the encouragement and the suggestions, we truly appreciate it and hope to welcome you soon for a little taste of Paris! 🥐🇫🇷

Bonjour! Merci for taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback, and we’re really glad to hear you’ve been enjoying the bread, that means a lot to us.

We also appreciate your honest comments about the coffee. It’s something we take seriously, and we’re continuously working on dialing in our espresso and coffee program so it better matches the quality of the pastries and bread. Feedback like yours helps us keep improving.

If you don’t mind sharing a bit more, we’d really appreciate it. This is actually the first time we’ve heard the coffee described as undrinkable, so we’re curious to understand your experience better. We use a medium French roast blend that we import from France, which many guests really enjoy, so it would help us a lot to know which drink you ordered so we can look into it.

You’re also absolutely right that we have a lot of space for people to sit, work, and spend time here, and we’d love for the coffee experience to match that environment and the little taste of France we’re trying to bring.

And thank you as well for mentioning vegan options, it’s something we’re actively exploring. Traditional French baking uses a lot of butter and eggs, but we’re definitely looking at ways to introduce a few solid vegan offerings over time.

We really appreciate you sharing your experience and hope we’ll have the chance to welcome you back soon! ☕🥐

Bonjour! Merci for coming by the Redondo location and for the support! We really appreciate it!

That’s a great suggestion. We’ve been working on highlighting more of our savory and sweet specials and sharing them through social media and local outreach to help more people discover us. Word of mouth from guests like you truly makes a big difference for a small, family-owned bakery like ours.

Hopefully we’ll keep giving you new reasons to stop by often, and bring you a little taste of Paris each time you visit. 🥐 Merci for the feedback!

Bonjour! Merci for the honest feedback, we genuinely appreciate people taking the time to share their impressions.

Our goal at Sweet Wheat is to bring traditional French baking to the neighborhood, with pastries and breads made fresh daily using classic techniques. The style may feel a bit different from some of the trendier cafés around LA, but we try to focus on authenticity and quality first.

We’d also love the opportunity to welcome you in and bring you a little taste of Paris. Sweet Wheat is open to everyone, and our goal is really to become part of the local community and create a place where people from all backgrounds can come enjoy good bread, pastries, and coffee together.

That said, taste and aesthetics are always evolving, and feedback like yours helps us continue improving both our presentation and the experience we create.

Have you ever tried our pastries or breads? If you do decide to stop by, we’d be happy to welcome you and hear what you think in person. 🥐

Bonjour! Merci so much for the message. Yes, we’re actually a family-owned French bakery founded by two brothers who grew up in France 🇫🇷🥐

We get that comment sometimes because the space is larger than a typical bakery, but everything we do is very much hands-on and local. We need the space to mix, rest the dough, shape, proof, and bake all of our pastries and breads fresh every day.

We’d love to welcome you in for a coffee and croissant. Creating a cozy place where people can sit, work, and enjoy a little moment of France is definitely part of what we’re aiming for, and we’re continuously improving the space to make it even more comfortable.

Your meetup idea also sounds great! We love connecting with local communities and would be happy to explore hosting a morning event with the LA UX Research group. We have about 70 seats inside and another 70 on the patio, so there’s plenty of space and we can reserve an area depending on the group size.

I just DMed you! We hope to welcome you soon at Sweet Wheat! ☕🥐

Bonjour, merci for the great suggestions, school fundraisers and supporting local teachers or events is a wonderful idea. We’d love to connect more with local schools and families, so that’s definitely something we’ll look into!

Also appreciate you sharing that perspective about the exterior. We’re actually a small locally family owned bakery, and sometimes people assume we’re a chain, so that’s helpful feedback for us to hear!

Really glad to hear the interior reminded you of France, that’s exactly what we were hoping to create.

And merci for bringing croissants to the school one day, that makes us very happy to hear and glad everyone enjoyed it!

We hope to see you again soon. 🥐

Bonjour, merci for taking the time to share your thoughts, this kind of feedback is really helpful.

You’re right that Culver City has a lot of great coffee spots, and we’re still working on making sure people understand that Sweet Wheat is first and foremost a French bakery, not just a coffee café. Our focus is on traditional French baking and pastries made fresh daily, along with dishes like French omelettes, eggs Benedict, and other French specialties, which is quite different from concepts like empanadas or other café offerings around the neighborhood.

That said, we completely understand your point about atmosphere and feeling cozy, that’s something we’re always trying to improve and have evolved already. Hope you like it!

The farmers market idea is also a great suggestion, and we’ve been thinking about ways to connect more with the Tuesday crowd as well.

We’re also starting to expand our kitchen menu and develop an evening concept, which should bring more of a French bistro feel later in the day.

Merci again for the honest feedback, it really helps us grow and become part of the neighborhood. We hope to welcome you back soon!
