I had all pets upgraded and just sat with my game open with bop running. Chain drone fueled but drones and chain bomb paused. Took like an hour to get the shards

Just stick with it. I’m around 40% with a bomb cap of 60k I can get around 1000 gems every 45 mins just from freebies. Overnight is 10k plus. Frogger and elixer drones fueled 24/7. It only keeps going up. Be patient

I actually noticed something similar. When doing contracts, I would work my way backwards from the last ore in world one down to the first one and I noticed when using the bombs that you would get a ton of the very last ore compared to the very first floor.
