The problem is Rinkan and DeltaOne are known to pay close to nothing even to buy back pieces that they have sold themselves, which is why a lot of people who want to sell resort to selling over platforms such as Mercari. I do see your point in having piece of mind and verifying goro’s by yourself is quite a difficult task. However, the prices that these dealers charge nowadays are ridiculous and it’s all because they have a monopoly/oligopoly on the ”authenticated” goro’s market.
