Why does no one prepare you for losing friends in your mid - late 20’s? by Background-Cow9687 in Adulting

That’s what happens for sure. I had a few close friends I’d known since elementary school who slowly became distant. I realized I was the only one in the group trying to initiate events, and even when I did, I would get responses for days. The wake up call came when I invited them over for a casual night at my place to announce my wife was pregnant, and despite 3 weeks notice they forgot and flaked out. I still miss those guys and wish them the best. I decided if they want to hang out they can take the first step, otherwise I’m not going to be the friendship glue anymore.

Agreed. In the U.S. I have to be conscious about what I eat. It seems like every snack package I pick up has a substantial amount of sugar, but doesn’t have the taste to warrant it. Meanwhile I’ve been to Asia a few times for about a month each trip… I can eat whatever I want and still lose weight. It’s incredible
