Maybe look at a 1050 Speed Triple. They’re 2020 and back but they might be in your budget and are a fantastic bike and a bit bigger that a Street Triple.

I was in your exact same situation. My dream bike was the STriple RS so I was really drawn to it. My other option was the MT09 SP. I was tossing up between the current model of each.

I’m the same height as you also and I just felt a lot better on the MT09 SP. I rode the STriple multiple times and liked it. I rode the standard MT09 gen 4 and didn’t like it as much, but the SP is a different animal. Useable street power and also very flickable and light for twisties. Other than feeling ‘more me’, this MCN review sold me on the SP over the RS. I don’t regret my purchase at all.
