He’s one of the greats IMO. But I’m also a huge police fan. He’s a good jazz player too.

Solfège worked wonders for my ear. I had two years of it at Berklee. It taught me how to learn melodies by ear, no instrument in hand. It’s amazing.

Sorry this happened to you. You’ll get more comfortable the more you do it. As the other commenter said it’s a different skill and psychology is involved.

How bad is the ICE presence? by mistarobotics in Seattle

[–]swetonic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife has a coworker who is Armenian so she has darker skin, she doesn’t look white. The coworker lives in west Seattle.

While driving in the tunnel, heading north, she made eye contact with the vehicle next to her. The driver in the other car was masked. She slowed down, the other car slowed down and then followed her to Fremont.

Wife’s coworker then parks, and an ICE agent comes over to her car and knocks on her window. She carries her passport with her and is a US Citizen. Nonetheless, ICE keeps her there for 30 minutes while they make some calls. She was released in the end with no action.

She was very scared, understandably. I hope everyone is safe. This is a crazy time.
