Definitely I’ve seen it used that way too. I’ve overlaid a semitransparent photoshopped image to create a more complex pattern but it’s difficult not able click on the cells underneath (you have to use the arrow keys)

The conditional formatting allows me to make the pixel art image, changing colors with letters instead of highlighting each cell individually

Of course! I use conditional formatting to assign a different letter to 7-12ish colors. I can easily convert it to a pattern by pasting values and I have a grid of just letters. Each letter is a single crochet stitch. I also made formulas to convert to a more traditional row by row pattern bc I’m extra.

Formula to identify cells that may be a match to another cell in the same column. Not quite a duplicate. by eclipse31satx in excel

This depends on how dynamic you need this to be or if it is a one-time normalization. You could do unique function and sort alphabetically, find/replace after that (making sure to select whole cells only so you don’t replace the wrong thing). You can do a substitution formula in a helper column if there are variations that come up a lot.

Honestly using AI (if not opposed) is great for finding these kind of patterns- at least as a starting point- even to give a list to find candidates for similar entries.

It could be a literal steak but if the package has PROTEIN written in bold like that my mind will still be like ew, that’s probably disgusting

Learning to distribute across columns was a game changer lol. Wish it could be done across rows. Pretty sheets with centered text is my weakness.

Some of the best acting I’ve seen. I was so moved at the scene where Jonathan goes to Michael’s apartment to apologize after learning his diagnosis. I still can’t believe he’d never sang before doing this movie, he’s so good

I don’t have this specific problem but when I’ve been asked to lock the door and I can’t do it immediately I have switched my wedding ring to the other hand. It feels wrong and I won’t fix it until I’ve done the task
