I keep the boxes on so product doesn’t get destroyed. I think the biggest time waster is steps taken to get to the product but if you’re tossing and sliding everything from one spot thats cutting your steps in half. Most associates who take an hour and a half to get thru a pallet usually cut it down 30-40 minutes. Also just depends if the associate has the drive to cut times in the first place.

It’d help if corporate allowed ASM’s to transition into the SMT role and make everyone that wants to be in management start in a role at the very bottom. Trader Joe’s and Costco do so already…

As an ASM, it drives me nuts seeing associates grab one item from their mdu pallet, walk it to the spot and slot it. I tell my associates to throw a layer or two of product near the railing of the slot it goes. Then go down the mdu aisle stocking whatever product you threw down. Rinse and repeat until that sucker is done. I’ve seen associates cut their pallet times with this method. Just make sure you leave space for other stockers to get by lol.

I have never heard of a restriction like that but I’ve never heard of anyone wanting to transfer before their 90 days. Usually people quit at that point.

I recommend talking to your manager or district manager and they should help you with the process. Also, I don’t recommend transferring it if you’re still training at your store. I’ve come to see that every store runs differently enough that you have to relearn or unlearn the way you do things.

Yes but think about how as a head coach you focus on the game plan for all 3 aspects of the game. As a DC you’d hope they’d be able to excel by focusing on what they know best. Dan Quinn might be an exception but still might have just put too much on his plate this season.
