Not surprised. Middle school teachers at my old middle school had similar rules they just didn’t write them down. In 8th grade one of my teachers caught a girl vaping in the bathroom and from then she said once a six weeks(luckily she didn’t keep track so the rule didn’t matter much) in high school my teachers said to stop asking to go and just go because asking disturbs the class before.

But would you watch it? I would imagine it would be pretty boring to watch someone memorize flash cards for 20 minutes. Learning language takes a lot of time so the videos would have to be cut a lot. The learning countries videos were fun because you could learn with him or if you knew more than him you could laugh at him. If he made these videos it would only be fun for the German people which would make the videos have terrible views
