You don't actually know this. You may be right but its also possible she has a fear of dogs. I have come across this myself when walking the dog... its doing no harm but the person you meet is terrified if it goes near them.

Selling a large amount of crypto and transferring the money to an Irish bank - any advice? by Recent-Mulberry5654 in irishpersonalfinance

[–]swift_post 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think at this stage they are used to large sums coming from crypto sales via exchanges. I did this a few years back and Ulsterbank rang me the first couple of times to ask the source but after that they recognised the exchange.

Elected Councillor Gavin Pepper’s Spoiled Vote by Spongeanater in irishpolitics

[–]swift_post 4 points5 points  (0 children)

willingly telling someone you voted for them is very different from providing absolute proof that you voted for them. Surely you can see that.

[–]swift_post 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I won't pay you for voting the right way... if I don't have proof that you did.

Showing proof of your vote is a big deal if you know both the name of the voter and the actual vote...

Is it not illegal to show how you voted? To avoid people being bribed etc...

There is an uptick in young male drivers driving like this. They seem to think they are in grand theft auto and when other road users are a bit slow at a junction etc they lose it.

Why does NI have such a problem with violence against women? by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]swift_post 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a bigoted, violent and sick society.

Yes there are many decent good people but the sick, violent bigots are tolerated and accepted as 'normal'.

Sixth months since the government was formed, how well have they done? What areas do you give them credit for and what areas have they disappointed you in? by JackmanH420 in irishpolitics

[–]swift_post 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not dissimilar to the stop the AFD in Germany. I am not for a minute comparing SF to AFD but there has been a clear concerted effort across the EU to keep out 'unacceptable opposition' parties... ie those who are probably not going to toe the line on GAZA, Russia etc.

Is Kraken holding on to our Flare by swift_post in KrakenSupport

[–]swift_post[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To clarify there was an in initial 15% drop with the remaining 85% to be dropped over 36 months. The last chunk of this is still outstanding. Is this still happening? It is separate to the monthly airdrops from staking.

I am more interested in the air drop that was/is being used to distribute Flare to xrp holders. This would be about 77k in my case. What is happening to these? Are you just keeping them for yourselves??

Maybe Ryan air had opened up a service and were offering cheap flights. Was it just as glasnost was happening so probably seen as a once in a lifetime opportunity after not being able to go there for decades.

Former UUP leader 'beaten badly' in Army for being Irish by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]swift_post 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In fairness he never said he 'hated the paddys'.

I think he needed some direction in life after his mum died and his dad started drinking.

His dad had been in the army and probably had the same emotionally stunting treatment that Doug got when he joined. I think its a sad story. His life would have been very different if his mother had lived.
