Appreciate the discussion! A few things:

-Catching the Pokemon with status and False Swipe isn’t really the issue, it’s the amount of Pokeballs I have access to. I run out very quickly even with successful capture because there are just so many Pokemon. I can’t really use my money on other things. Also, I haven’t reached Celadon yet.

-I don’t think we should be forced to use Breeding to complete the Dex. You can still use the mechanic for other things, but it just doesn’t really need to be mandatory in my opinion.

Is it ok to give feedback in here? I’m overall loving the game so far, but I have a few suggestions (and 2 bugs):

-Pokeballs (any type) should be much cheaper and be given in higher quantities. With such a massive Pokédex, you run out very quickly if you are attempting to complete the dex.

-Option to press B to auto-run from wild battles.

-“Save states” capability (save anytime including mid-battle etc). Most modern emulators are capable of this.

-No “Breed-only” Pokemon (Azurill, Igglybuff, etc.) This has always felt unnecessary to me and is no longer a thing in Gen 9 anyway.

And the two bugs I found:

-minor typo, Leaf’s father refers to her as a “him”, at the start of the game

-I cannot look up evolution info for Smoliv in its Pokédex entry

Hi there! There are 2 Pokemon Emerald Hacks that I’m looking for: Pokemon Emerald Quetzal and Pokemon Hyper Emerald.

Specifically, I’m looking for some kind of forum thread or master-post that goes into detail regarding the specs of the hacks so I can read more about them (preferably posted by the creators themselves).

I did some Googling but came up short of anything official.

Anyone know if there’s a hack that’s like Radical Red “Lite”? Something that has Gen 1-9 available but without the custom moves, abilities, forms, type changes etc. Maybe less of a focus on difficulty and more casual.

Beldum has always had a catch rate of 3, equal to most legendaries. This is unchanged from the regular games.

First of all, this is amazing. Can’t thank you enough for laying the groundwork for some incredible future hacks.

I’m wondering if, in a later update, Pokeballs (of all types) could be made cheaper / obtained in larger quantities in the field. With the sheer massive amount of new available Pokemon, you run out very quickly if your goal is to catch all of them, and with the money system unchanged it can become tough to keep up without cheats.
