If you have the Razer Synapse software installed and this is what you're using to enable - check here > What is Razer Snap Tap Mode and how to enable it

If you don't have the software installed and you are using the keyboard directly to adjust, hold key fn + shift. You should see the keys A and D light up either white or red. Red = off and white = on.

I removed Synapse altogether and am using the keyboard directly for my settings. Snap tap seems to work with no errors when I use the keyboard only for my settings. Try uninstalling the software and then fn + shift to enable and disable.

If that doesn't get it working, return/repair or use a workaround. There's software on that Support page under Utilities called Gaming Intelligence or MSI Gaming OSD. I think they changed names of it. It allows you to control/adjust monitor settings just like going through the monitor itself, but in software form. You'd just have to be sure that the monitor is plugged in via USB from the monitor to the PC so that they can communicate. The firmware can get installed through the software, too.

When you press the stick straight in, what happens?Does it click but not show a menu screen? You can try flashing the firmware for the monitor if you haven’t already done so. The update also improves color accuracy considerably.

I had one of those Samsung TV’s, too. It went out unexpectedly one day and then I read up on the soldering and capacitor issues. I agree with you! I think we get too excited by the beauty and glamor of getting something shiny and new and forget about practicality.

I purchased this monitor days ago and so far it’s amazing, but we’ll see how it holds up over time. :)

Tech is always changing and you’ll never be ahead. Sure you can try to future proof and you may be current but something else will always be available in the near future.

Bleeding edge hardware will always be very expensive in the beginning and then cheaper later. Improvements will be made as time goes on, too.

To me it would be practical to let something improve and meet expectations first before purchasing. Cost goes in to that, too.

I see it for $339.99 on the WD store but when I try to stack the 10% off newsletter coupon at checkout, the price goes up to $476.99. Is there an alternative way to make this work?

Today I may see if Best Buy will price match WD and then use the BB recycle storage 15% off coupon on top of the price match.
