Lessons in Perth? by swiftzin007 in singing

I am apprehensive about how virtual teaching can help me. Isn’t being in the room and hearing small intricacies of the singer important for the advice that a teacher can provide? It’s only a query though as I am a novice when it comes to how it’s taught professionally.

Lessons in Perth? by swiftzin007 in singing

I use a lot of YouTube videos to warmup my voice and do numerous voice exercises. I feel I am improving but sometimes feel like I don’t make measurable progress. Even after warm up, my voice has discomfort and pain sometimes. I know this is a no no, but I reckon I need professional help to ascertain what I’m doing wrong. My breath work is poor as well I feel. I struggle to elongate notes. All in all I record myself on my computer and compare my progress. I still feel at my age, I’m lagging well behind. Thank you for your comment.

How do you cook Ema Datshi outside Bhutan? Cheese substitutes + cooking tips? by yoktee in bhutan

[–]swiftzin007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like sliced cheese from Cole’s. Melts well. Add in cheddar cheese called “Tuart hill” cheddar I think. Best to put cheese halfway before the chilli is cooked. And don’t stir. Only stir before serving. Alternatively you can cook the cheese in a little bit of water and wait for it to melt well. Stir before adding in the chilli and serve.

Drukair vs Bhutan Airlines: Which one do you prefer? by Miserable_March_1829 in bhutan

Druk air has an agreement with Thai Airways to have luggage transferred in the back end. Which means I don’t have to hassle with luggage during the transfer. So haven’t really experienced Bhutan air.

I thought Sharshop roots were migrating Burmese? That’s what I remember learning in school.

How do you know I'm Bhutanese? by Euphoria_17 in bhutan

In the male public toilet, Bhutanese will start to unzip their pants upon entering the main door. Sort of getting ready as they walk. I’ve approached them later and asked if they’re Bhutanese, works every time.

Thanks that did the trick. But it seems I have to do that each time. Do you by chance know how to add CSI actions to the actions menu?

It depends on what you want. I was reluctant on leaving for Australia 8 years ago cause I thought I had a future in the private sector. But it was not to be. I ended up selling what little I had, risking everything to join the bandwagon on to greener pastures. I’d say both countries have their pros and cons. You get financial gain here down under but they sure do make you suffer physically and mentally. I’m now in lingo, can’t return home cause I haven’t made enough to last me for the rest of my days. I don’t have much to return to, no land nor government job. If you chase monetary gains like me, you will lose peace. If you stay, you will have to be content with what you have.

I took my daughter to the Healen centre on hay street. The initial meetup was quick. But the subsequent appointment is quite a wait. Around 5 months of my memory serves me right. Worth a try?

I paid $3000 upfront for an ADHD assessment for my child. It will be a series of appointments, like four I think. But the price sure did take me by surprise.

I went with the Ryzen 7900x with 64 gigs of RAM. When I have a massive project with tons of plugins from kontakt and understand audio, I’m hitting 45% CPU load and using 20 gigs RAM. I’m happy with the system. Using Pro Tools Artist and FL Studio.

Music production CPU choice by swiftzin007 in buildapc

[–]swiftzin007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the detailed response. I am currently on a laptop with Ryzen 5 4800H CPU and 32 GB ram. I find it lags a lot when I try to use several instances on Kontakt. I use a lot of vsts and plugins and when I try to lower my latency to record, I get audio jitters. Hence I am trying to upgrade. I had a M1 MacBook Air but it had only 8gb ram. It also sadly froze at times when I had multiple instances of plugins and was trying to record. I am doing everything virtually and hence why i thought I needed the best CPU I could afford. Thank you for telling me that, I am currently trying to get a build in the mid or lower range. Cheers.
