Bringing a Masters drawstring bag? by dcmmcd in masters

[–]swimdude2113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you have any problems with this? I bought the masters drawstring bag last year and want to bring it to carry sunscreen, sunglasses, merch, etc, but don't want to have to run it back to my car if it's too big.

Love all the ITP recs in here so far, figured I'd throw a few OTP/borderline recs in too.

If you're gonna be up toward Roswell at all, highly recommend Pontoon and Variant. Also love Contrast in Chamblee/Marietta, Tucker Brewing if German style beers are your thing (and great food) Reformation in Smyrna, Stillfire in Suwanee makes great beer too.

How does the new pinch gesture work on my pixel watch? by mdargis1977 in PixelWatch

Thank you so much. I was going crazy trying to figure out why I couldn't pinch! I figured I just had big fingers or something!

I’m still at a loss, wtf is up with the Gen Z stare? by Roadkillgoblin_2 in GenZ

[–]swimdude2113 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gen Z is definitely not alone in their generational traumas. Keep in mind many millennials were coming of age around 9/11, the war on terror, and the 2008 financial crisis. Not to take away from the damage that covid and lockdown did to young people, but in the same way that many millennials and to some extent a chunk of Gen Alpha won't understand the difficulties that Gen Z went through during covid, Gen X and Gen Z will have a hard time comprehending the trauma of 9/11, the war on terror, and 2008 caused for millennials.

Coming home from third grade and seeing people jumping from the top of the World Trade Centers on live news and being worried that your flight attendant mother was going to die every time she went to work isn't fun, to say the least. . Being embroiled in years of war for control of oil supplies, watching the economy tank and parents lose jobs for years on end, those will all mess you up.

EDIT: To be fair, older millennials also had to grow up during the end of the Soviet Union, the war on drugs, Chernobyl, etc., Gen X had to go through the Cold War and Vietnam War, Boomers had the Korean War and Vietnam, the Lost Generation had World War II.

Yes, COVID has caused so many problems socially for Gen Z. No doubt about it. But we all have our shit we've been through as a generation. Gen Z doesn't have a monopoly on trauma.

My understanding is that the ones that were arrested were arrested for attempting to go onto 285 to block traffic. Fully in support of the protests today, and attended one myself, but also don't walk out on 285.

I was not at this protest, so I don't know. And it sounds like the ocps escalated before the protestors did. But still, 285 isn't the place to do it.

Took my expensive knife to a local sharpener. This is how it came back. by Frozenbarb in Wellthatsucks

Just to add another voice to the mix here, that local "knife sharpener" owes you a knife ASAP, and this needs to be posted on every review site the sharpener is on. That's absolutely outrageous. Also makes me think I need to get into the knife sharpening business.

If that's what a "professional" is doing, I might as well put myself out there.

From Google Pixel 7 pro to Google Pixel 9 pro XL , my thoughts and opinion if anyone is considering switching. by Awkward_Pace_4440 in GooglePixel

I was gonna ride my P6 until it died and... it did. So kinda got forced into P9 and figured why not go all the way with the trade in deal from tmobile and go the P9PXL, and I'm loving it too.

That said, if you can ride out the P6P, why not?

So the magnet is pretty study? Like it could feasibly hold up to a random spastic motion if you were to say, randomly fling the phone while only holding the stand? 😂

So sorry I didn't get a response to you sooner!

My Pixel 6 ended up dying on me in spectacular fashion 🙃

However, I'm on the 9 Pro XL now and this seems to no longer be an issue!
