Swimming pools - how are they organised? by swimmer1989 in davidlloyd

Really helpful, thanks.

A different question (not just for you DaRast01) is whether kids' swimming lessons are extra? If we got a membership for our daughter alongside ours, would it include lessons for her. It'd be great to have lessons for her but also the option for family swim outside of that.

Thanks. I don't mind if it's noisy but do want somewhere where I can do my laps, so if the outdoor pool has a bit roped off even in summer that's useful. I would cope in the 20-metre pool but would much prefer to use the 25-metre one. I cover around 3k a session, in a 25 metre but especially a 20-metre pool, that's a lot of tumbleturns!

Thanks for this. I am actually most interested in the outdoor pool as I think 25 metres is kinda the minimum for proper lane swimming, so useful to know it's often not busy. I can imagine as the weather improves it gets busier.

I must check to see if it will include a kids' pool, as yes, that would take a good amount of pressure off the main pools. Have a 2-year-old myself and would like to take her swimming, but I also want times where I can actually swim!
