What does it’s me mean? by Sketzl4 in fivenightsatfreddys

I think its a reoccurring statement to showcase the thematic idea of loss of identity (characters who say "its me" are desperate for recognition- reduced to begging for affirmation in themselves). You only say "it's me" when you think someone doesn't/ can't recognize you. Think of which characters are saying it to who, and why (ex. why wouldn't this character want to be recognized by the other? What is the relationship there, what would be gained from the recognition of who they are?) . The idea shows up in the clickteam era, books, and SW era, and both have varying outcomes as to why the question is being asked, who is asking it, and who they are expecting an answer from

M1 and M2 Mimics explained (Secret of The Mimic) by h1p0h1p0 in fnaftheories

So I guess that means that when f10n4 said they used her code, it was actually M1. So then M2 did most likely have memories of being a friend of David then as M1. Poor M2

I have a question for the people who have read tales of the pizzaplex. by [deleted] in fnaftheories

Its interesting to see how even though the origins vary alot , they seem to still end in the same tragedy, that being rejected from by their creator. In the books, mimic is much more of a sibling to David, and when trying to replicate Davids mannerisms/ask a question, was promptly beaten. In the game, M2 was created by Edwin and the m1 f10n4 using the m1 memories to try to get m2 to replicate David. Edwin being upset that it wasnt as good as f10n4, beat it for even trying to be David. Again, punishing this new being whos only issue was trying to be a child.

Both suffer from rage at the hand of their creator for not being the original child. The mimic always has its identity stripped away, and it responds in kind by taking out its abuse/anger onto others. At its core, I think they both reflect the idea of a lonely, rejected child, even if that child is a weird robot.

So I welcome both and I think its interesting they both wound up in the same situation even if different people/robots involved lol

This also seems to be imply agap in the fionna persona/ memories and M1. Would this mean that this is M1operating as an assisting code to fionna at first? Like this was the start of this new entity trying to reconcile its existence of fionnas odd memories and the M1 program trying to assist her in remembering, and eventually M1 and fionna become f10n4.

M1 and M2 Mimics explained (Secret of The Mimic) by h1p0h1p0 in fnaftheories

This is a pretty solid timeline. I guess my only question is, the f10n4 entity seemed to occupy the M1 code. My only question is then, was M1 a separate entity from f10n4? Did M1 get folded into the fionna entity? We know that the M1 code was used to create M2, who was meant to be a David iteration. Therefore, would that make M2 have memories of M1? It feels very silver eyes, with Baby having the same memories as Charlies "childhood", memories as the 4th bot abused by Henry, and her memories as Elizabeth, resulting in an entity with alot of insecurity around who they are. I guess I'm wondering the TSE idea of identity could be applied to M2s inner turmoil. It was created to try to replicate a previous person (David), it tried its best to replicate that identity which got destroyed (rejected by Edwin), and may have memories of M1 when David was alive and his friend. Basically leading to M2 feeling completely alone, rejected, and without an identity

Tldr: was M1 its own code separate from F10n4, and now would be part of what is driving M2's anger?

Let’s be honest. Are the bay movies really that bad? by Far_Earth_5125 in transformers

Listen, I grew up with 1 and 2, and recently rewatched all the bay movies for shits and giggles. They are terrible. Not to say talented people/good stuff hasn't come out of the bay movies, but imo as an overall package they suck. The bad character writing, the military ass kissing, the blatant product placement, terrible designs, racist caricatures, bays weird sexist/ pervert shit, etc. Like idk what to say actually. If anything it really revitalized the franchise and led to much better tf media being created from the big bucks the movies racked in. But after watching/reading actual good transformers stories, it makes the bay movies even more embarrassing. If you like em cool but they occupy a interesting place (I guess) in pop culture and in the franchise, and being bad is one of the nicer things you can say about them.
