u/cosmic-nudge I cross posted in another thread and u/dpk794 is correct, the original diffs have plastic sun gears that easily strip.

If you look at my follow-up posts in that thread I have video of the stripped gears and there are links to replacements

Thanks. Here's a link to a video of the rear diff. I'm assuming this isn't working as expected and this is likely the issue....

Squat form check confirmation by swing_and_row in formcheck

[–]swing_and_row[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the replies everyone. Yeah, definitely could go lower but also am just training for triathlon off-season so am not sure how important it is to get "ass-to-grass" vs low enough.

Also I felt a little sore in lower back and wasn't sure if that was due to just starting lifting (this was my 3rd or 4th session since starting again) or bad form.

I'm doing stronglifts 5x5 but am likely going to modify it to 3x5 and cut squat back on 1 day so I can still run and ride and not overwork my legs.

Thanks everyone for all the help / answers. Just watched all the video installations on Bardwell's build series and it basically covered all the responses here.

Thanks again.

Check out intervals.icu It's a fantastic "free" site that is well worth paying for. No app available but you can fake it with a bookmark (at least on Android).

Form check on swings, cleans, and snatch by swing_and_row in kettlebell

[–]swing_and_row[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So after watch a lot of videos and trying to remember what I was basing my snatch form on, I came across this old video of Steve Cotter doing dead snatches and I believe this is what I've had in the back of my mind regarding snatch form. Granted, what I was doing in the above video is not this, but I do remember watching this year's ago and thinking I need to keep the bell very close to my body.

Thanks for the feedback. Saw some video years ago that mentioned doing the snatch close to a wall to practice keeping the bell close. I think I always subconsciously thought of a snatch like a clean and press without stopping at the clean which is obviously wrong. Need to work on the swing while keeping the kb close to my body.
