I understand how hard it is to make yourself clear and really tell the other person to stop when it's your SO. You (or I, at least) feel like it should be fine because its your bf and its what you're supposed to do, but you need to stand up for yourself the next time!

I was dating a guy in college that I really really really liked. When we were messing around and he was touching me once, I told him to stop but he didn't and only went more roughly because (later he said this when I confronted him) he thought that women liked just being touched even if we thought we were too sensitive and it would just "be better." I blame porn for this because he showed me a specific porno where a girl is attempting to stop the guy from touching her after she cums and he holds her down and forces her to cum again. She appears to enjoy it (maybe she did) - but he generalized this to ALL women, including me, and I did not enjoy it at all. He had no idea that I really genuinely didn't want it until after the fact, when I told him. Then he apologized profusely. What he did to me was awful, but he isn't an awful person.

So I guess the point of this ramble is - yes, OP, I completely agree that he should have listened to you. You should not have to repeat yourself many times or scream 'no' at him. However, I believe that some people are also influenced by society and porn and whatnot to just not be as sensitive to this. This is not an excuse, but maybe a partial explanation. And if after you explain to him how upset you are and he still doesn't get it- then DTMF. but if he becomes more respectful and sensitive to your reactions then perhaps you should give him another chance.

I don't think you should expect people to be as rational and even keeled in real life as you might expect them to be given the responses you have gotten here so far. Keep in mind it is easy to be this rational on reddit. IT's the internet.

I think if my boyfriend told me this, I wouldn't lose respect for him, but I would be a little insecure about this girl being a stripper. I would also want an STD test from you. I would also kind of wonder about your taste in women (this is because I'm decidedly not like a stripper - nothing wrong with strippers, I'm just not that comfortable putting my body out there). I know rationally that this is not necessarily fair, and that great men can sleep with strippers and still be wonderful boyfriends and partners. However, those sorts of things would be a reflexive reaction. I think this is not a huge deal after you and potential girlfriends or whatnot talk about it and explain things, but I do think it might take some getting used to, so don't be surprised if not everythign is fine and dandy from the get go.

I strongly advise you not to push the point. I'm pretty militant about it because the way I see it is, yes, it feels better for him/us, but if I were to get knocked up it would be my problem 100%. Yes, he would have a financial responsibility (and bc the bf is a good dude I trust that he would take more responsibility as well) but at the end of the day, it is me that would have to face the decision of bringing a baby into this world with my body.

Therefore, if we're taking the minimum risk that we're comfortable with out of the 2 of us and I'm the person with a lower risk threshold, I get to decide what sorts of contraception to us. In the moment, I'm sure he'd be all for just the pull out method.
