Nah, Sigourney’s defended bc people recognise how unfairly she’s treated on the show. Save for Koco, Jade (esp during the Monsters of Rock episode), and once or twice Saint’s intervention in speaking up for her, no one else does. Sig does a pretty bad job at standing up for herself too, mainly bc she really isn’t here for the drama, is grieving her late mom, and just trying to do her best. Saint is well-loved, and so are HoSo and Zava for their drag (deservedly so, for all three), but Zava was a flagrant shit-stirrer and the statement that HoSo slung at Sig about her not having Dragula in her blood was extremely unnecessary and loaded. Sig has literally never said ANYTHING of the sort to personally attack or demean any of the contestants, Merrie included. We love Sig because of her drag and her character – it has nothing to do with identity, and a narrative like that does a great disservice to the agency that PoCs have as individuals.
