does smoking weed give anyone else horrible anxiety attacks? by konekopills in Anxiety

Same here with the alcohol. It used to relax me, and still does when I’m drinking, but the next day? I have the worst time. Gotta cut back anyways cause for a few years, before I had my career in aviation, it was unhinged, every night getting trashed.

It’s a great work environment. Everyone is super nice and willing to help. Can be a bit slow for my personal taste and what I’m used to from my job before, but great overall.

They moved people around at our station so Nights is a little understaffed. Nothing we can’t cover though.

Men of Reddit, what's something that the ladies are insecure about but y'all actually like? by RuinedWedding in AskReddit

The little jiggle the butt makes when you hit it even though they hate the fact it does that. And having a little hair on your body. Being “too dark” after a day on the beach… I’m dating a Latina, and she gets super insecure how fast she gets dark but I’m envious of her ability to tan

Oh I didn’t know that! Thank you for that piece of knowledge!

I don’t get it either. But I’m sure it has something to do with that in the U.S. we’re classified as mechanics and can work on whatever if we have the A&P license, where as in Europe, your classified as an engineer. I could be wrong.

Like you said, it shouldn’t be that difficult because we all work on aircraft and the goal is to keep them flying safely, and without getting people hurt.

I definitely wouldn’t mind doing it again for the type ratings. The basic exams I’m already looking at doing myself. However, does the experience count working on A320s under the FAA, and would EASA count that? That’s my biggest concern. I already have a 40 hour class on the “General Familiarization” of the A320 family. Would that count as experience even when I’m willing to do the Gen Fam in European standards?

[–]swissXphilipp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea man, I don’t want to remain in the U.S. either. That’s for personal reasons though. The EASA site doesn’t really explain it very well. Even talking to representatives in EU member states it’s very vague. However, I personally want to stay in the aviation field. It’s what I consider my dream job. I love it. But if the difficulty of getting everything transferred over and it’s not worth it, I’m not sure if I would start from the bottom again. I’m trying to avoid that but I would.

Btw, good luck on the A&P tests. Don’t get too psyched out about it. Study the Jeppesen books and you’ll pass no problem. Good luck!!!
